What is the installed RAM configuration? 1x4GB or 2x2GB. I'm guessing the former. AMD APU's need dual channel for max performance. The faster the RAM the better.

I couldn't agree more. A dual core 2.7ghz processor that turbos to 3.1 or 3.2ghz should be fine. Lots of tabs open is usually digging into that RAM you have, not to mention all of the crap you have...

No way that thing will boot in 5 seconds with a conventional hard drive. Even a really fast top end PC with an SSD won't boot in 5 seconds from a cold start.
