These can be had in most (large) chinese food stores (for about this price +/- $5, and are *VERY* useful for steaming (2 things at once!), however for making pasta you'll find they use way too much...

Everything is made in China. Cuisinart is made in China. So you really have no point here. The Chinese store cookers you mention are NOT 18/10 steel, although I almost don't believe this one is....
