test this Sony 32GB card vs my Transcend class 10 In a USB 2.0 card reader / USB 2.0 Port, Transcend class 10 has write speed at around 17MB/s, this sony has 20-21MB/s, not big difference....

these are different cards with ones in OP being uhs-1 and with proper usb 3.0 card reader the card is about 4x faster than the other (read speed)

Got a 32GB version of it a while ago for $30 (Amazon) and the first time I used it in Canon T4i and transferred the movies to my laptop, the speed was amazingly fast. This is a great deal.

Sweet. I posted the same question but I guess in the other 32gb thread. 17MB/s is good enough. Not as fast as the Dane Electrics from Target but worth keeping.

I think usb 2.0 has a bottleneck around 30mb/s so even non-uhs1 cards which require usb 3.0 to get advertised speed, will still cap out around there. update: ya :D I was close enough

usb 3.0 is mandatory even for non-uhs-1 cards... I have some older sandisk 45mb/s ones and they perform much faster I think usb 2.0 caps out aroun 30mb/s
