Looks cool! unfortunately I have to live with MCE in my current cable card setup, but all in all I think it works pretty well. Its not XBMC, but thats why i have a seperate box for XBMC :)

Goes to the network. You may be able to save it to a NAS drive? Not quite sure. But definitely, some kind of hard drive needs to be powered on to get the content.

That's exactly what i have now - 4 USB Kworld tuners that I paid $20 a piece over 3 years ago and they work perfectly - not silly at all. Although ideally this setup would be cleaner and simpler...
