I actually have no idea how to use auto focus on my t3i. I didn't really even know that people would want to use that. Weird. I was taught to always do everything manually.

Maybe he's Buddy the Elf and doesn't really know how to use an escalator? haha. I gotcha now. To be honest, it wasn't too long ago that I had to get a quick tutorial on using AF lol.

There's a formula for 400 ISO on sunny days... But I'm lazy. And math hurts my head.

AF is a no-no with a lot of people. I think it's just as good, but even so, I always use manual. I'm easily swayed by peer pressure.

very ignorant thing to say and it also makes you look very dumb. i've owned the Rokinon 85 1.4, easily up there with my L primes. now is this 8mm made for full frames? i forgot which company,...

Same here... I got the 8mm the last time around and have enjoyed working with it. I would have liked to have gotten the 24mm this time. Oh well... it will come around again!

If you are having difficulty with getting sharp focus consistently, you may want to see if your camera can use an aftermarket split-prism/microprism focusing screen. Cheap ones can be found on sites...

Okay dick, I put it on autofocus and push the button and it doesn't do shit. Plus how are you supposed to get it to focus on the specific thing that you want to be in focus?

Anyone know if the 8mm has a removable lens hood? I remember hearing something about the early models did not have that. Some day I will upgrade to full frame, I would like to still be able to use...

The lens hood is not removable. It serves as the attachment point for the lens cap, so you really cannot trim it off either. Because the hood is not removable, the 8mm works best on a crop...

funny. Sigma auto focus 30mm 1.4 only $249. This rokinon manual focus 35mm 1.4 costs more because you got better chance to miss the shots.

Nah, fisheye or rectilinear output is a design choice, not a byproduct of focal length and sensor size. Full-frame fisheye lenses do tend to look less fishy on APS-C or m43 bodies, but that's just...
