Ya, not going to happen. Sanderson is pretty conservative and frankly I'm glad his books don't have a bunch of sex scenes. IMO, an author or movie director introduces sex when they can't come up with...

Score. Had the hardcover and never read it yet. Sold the HC on Amazon for $16.50 and bought this. I prefer eBooks now, that book was massive and + 9 more in the series would take up 1-2 shelves on...

My friend just handed me Name of the Wind last week and told me I would like it, but I haven't started it yet. Your comment convinced me to get this too though haha (as well as get started on Name...

For the folks like me not impressed by the Wheel of Time (I think it's terrible) - don't get scared off. Sanderson is pretty good. Just read Elantris and the Mistborn books last year. He's a bit...

Any idea how long this will be on sale for $2.99?

Thanks OP and :repped: I was in need of an epic type book to read--almost tempted to get the Audible narration for $7.99 too.

I've read it twice hardback and it is an awesome book. Sanderson's best so far. Got it on amazon for my third time around.

Was a good read! It is indeed epic, and everybody that likes fantasy can give it a shot at $3.

This is a truly spectacular book - one of my favorite, if not my absolute favorite, fantasy novel of all time. Legion is not really a deal - that's the retail price since it's a novella.

just to keep it alive and bump. Way of Kings is epic. Probably will get a series one day, like GoT, as long as he introduces more sex and keeps up with the violence. Why? His magic is in...

I read this book, it's awesome! Can't highly recommend it. I can't wait for the next one. The magic system is unique and different from other fantasy books i've read. A fresh taste imho.

The Way of Kings is up there with Name of The Wind as my top favorite fantasy novel books.

There's an interesting Mistborn sequel The Alloy of Law. Definitely not to be read before the trilogy.

sweet, I had this bookmarked for awhile (mistborn was pretty good), but the friggin $9 for a download was absurd. I don't mind paying $3 for digital at all though. Yea, these long series always...

I'm almost done with the trilogy for the 3rd time now. It's quite good =D You should also look into Alloy Laws which is a continuation of the universe.

I have to say, I too think Brandon Sanderson is amazing. I read Elantris first and loved it, now I'm halfway through the third Mistborn book. Thanks for the deal! Didn't even know this book was out.

keep in mind that is only a short story at 88 pages
You're in for a treat with Mistborn. Unique set of magic, great characters, and good enough ending. First book is like Oceans Eleven with Fantasy.

Mistborn was very good. I enjoyed Elantris also. Sanderson knows how to write a page-turner for sure. I'm still more of a character-driven storyline person, but he has a good blend of both. Plus...

I loved the book. The only thing I did not like is that it was too short (he was originally going to write it as a short story, then it became a novelette, then a novella, then a novel)! His...
