you're not limited to android, you don't have to pay 9 dollars for a case and chances are you have a power cable already. $45 dollars for what it is and what it does seems very very reasonable.

MCM is part of Premier Farnell, which has a global contract with UPS (think Boeing, Ingram, etc). I seriously doubt their actual cost is more than $4-5 to ship a Rasp anywhere in the US.
