Seems like a pretty good contender to the Zenbook, but it got slightly lower marks in the comparo I read. That looks interesting. I'd love the 256gb storage. Ah, but no keyboard backlight. ...

I've got the A2 version of this and have taken it apart . 1] RAM is soldered on mine. I've seen one A1 model where the RAM was replaceable and some people claim they've upgraded the RAM. I...

I have this exact laptop. I would probably buy it again for $600 even though it's not without problems. I personally hate they keyboard since it's very hard to type on. The trackpad has...

It's an ultrabook because it's very thin and light. The screen is the best part of this "ultrabook." (I don't like using the word ultrabook). Well, this is 15.6", light weight, pretty short...

avoid this computer like the plague. horrible keyboard, trackpad, battery life, and not upgradeable whatsoever. those are all major red flags.

From what I've read, you cannot upgrade the RAM on this laptop. The bottom panel is one gigantic piece, making RAM and hard drive access extremely hard or unfeasible. I would've definitely jumped...

How is a 15.6" laptop an Ultrabook? When I hear Ultrabook I think 13.3" screen, light weight, long battery life.

the keyboard and trackpad look old and reviews say it doesn't work too well either.

A sub 4 pound laptop is damn light for a 15" notebook.

this probably has a much smaller footprint as well as better screen resolution and they are usually ips'. also ssd's, but i agree. most people will be fine with a dual core pentium g or an a6 apu.

i5, IPS, SSD, sleek design, $600.... I can deal with the short-comings and other than a wireless mouse, wouldn't want to throw more money into upgrades regardless... Give me 3 solid years out of it,...

Same with my XPS 12 and a core i7. The battery is also 3-4 hours of just watching netflix and the trackpad is also horrible to the point of having to resort using external mouse. Isn't that...

Just wish it were the CT15-A5 for this price... the A1 doesn't get the best reviews, sadly. I really wanted to like this thing, but I will not get a laptop with a bad trackpad/keyboard again. It is...

This is actually TWO generations old. Vizio showed off touchscreen successors to the A5 series with slightly better battery life and touchpad at CES, but as usual for them, they're late.

It's too bad, really great form factor & weight. But the touchpad is the backbone of a laptop, if it sucks, you will never be happy with it. LIke a Porsche with a broken transmission.

Ultrabooks aren't really about the processor. They're about the form factor. Core2DUO was fast enough and is still fast enough, so what? Intel simply has done part of the platform engineering...

This laptop sounds a lot like my sister...looks good on the outside, but once you live with it, you'll go nuts and want to drive into oncoming traffic.

I picked up this model on Black Friday for ~$500 from the Microsoft Store. Overall, yes, the trackpad is pretty terrible (it will literally freeze for minutes at a time), so having a wireless mouse...

I see ebay sells ram for this particular laptop, can someone confirm that the RAM is NOT upgradable? 3-3.5hr of battery life is horrible, but for this thinness, i guess it's OK.

Just curious. When the trackpad freezes, is the cursor still moving and the computer still responding. Or does the whole OS freeze?
