there's much more to powerline than just the "speed" numbers, which aren't real anyway. they're theoretical maximums of the chips... it's heavily dependent on the wiring in your house, old or new. ...

Not sure what the issue is but they should be compatible, they run the same protocol. I have the same situation and I see all the machines and printers on my network including all wireless clients.
