The controller has nothing to do with the flash memory technology. This *IS* an MLC device, but the controller itself is orthogonal to the flash memory.

As far as I know, no one tested TLC durability yet in actual usage. Someone did the math - search around slashdot - and had a nice formula you can plug your numbers into to get interesting estimates....
