I wouldn't go putting black drives in any type of NAS environment. Though they get the 5 year warranty, they get hot and cramped in such a close environment, it's not good for the life of the drive....

I know the red drives are slower but I find the noise of black and RE4 drives unbearable. Will running the red as a primary drive cause some sort of pre-mature failure or something?
