Nope its Verizon uses CDMA and LTE , not GSM. It does use a mini SIM card though. Wont work on GSM

the nexus LTE is around 250 at the 16gb version? something like that. you can add a 32gb card and be at 48gb with LTE. nexus might have a better screen, but i didn't love the build quality.
