This is the base model, MSRP of $1299, and appears to be NEW, not refurbished. A better deal right out the door than anything recently.

It's sold by Arrow-Direct and on their website it states "All items offered for sale at ArrowDirect.com have gone through an intensive inspection and repair process and are professionally refurbished." So more than likely it is refurbished even through they don't say it.

The original price on Newegg is $1299. But the cheapest Surface book retails at $1499 on microsoft website. So I really doubt if it is new.

Good catch. The Microsoft-Refurbished model on www.microsoftstore.com is $1299. Thats likely what this offer is. Likely why the warranty is still there. Updating, thanks!
