T-Mobile uses Band 4 (Primary), Band 12(New-Primary), and Band 2 (Rural areas)Most likely with T-Mobile, you'll be on B4 90% ofthe time. B12 is still being deployed, and even then you only connect to it ifyou can't get B4 signal (building penetration) Verizon is Band 13 (Primary), Band 4 (Secondary), and Band 2 (Rural areas) B13 is pretty congested for Verizon, so a lot ofthem are being forwarded over to B4 when they can. AT&T is Band 17 (Primary), Band 4 (Secondary), Band 2 (Secondary), Band 5(Rural), Band 29 (New-Secondary), Band 30 (New-Primary). AT&T's B17 is pretty congested as well, so they're trying to get people onB4/B2 when they can. Also, B29 is a download-only link (with a similarpenetration as B17), and that's not in all areas either. B30 is new, a bithigher frequency (2300), but would help in dense areas. The way AT&T and VZW started off LTE, they used low-band (700b/c)(B17/B13). This had a great advantage w/ building penetration (the lower themore penetration). T-Mobile started with a higher band B4 (1700/2100), good forspeed, but not for long-distances or building penetration. However, AT&Tand VZW devices are so saturated with 700 that their speeds are suffering, hence why they are trying to alleviate load with the other bands (primarilyB2/B4). AT&T interestingly has a lot of bands to juggle as well, with B29(700d) for download, and B30 (2300) for new-primary. T-Mobile finally got in the low-band game most recently with B12 (700a), butstill has a bit of catching up to do. So technically a B2/B4 phone works on all 3 carriers(AT&T/VZW/T-Mobile), although B2/B4 is only secondary for AT&T/VZW.T-Mobile benefits the most since B4 is T-Mo's primary. If you're in a largemetropolitan city (probably top 50 cities in the US), AT&T and VZW probablydeployed B2/B4 to help alleviate the congestion on their B13/B17 bands, so mostlikely you'd connect to B2/B4 if you had AT&T/VZW in these large cities. |

I think that is the FED, separate issue from unlocked/locked status. FED is stored on a separate database by Sprint. The unlocked/locked status is stored on the GSX database by Apple.EDIT: more info about FED below: https://ting.com/blog/changes-to-...d-the-ugly http://www.prepaidphonenews.com/2...lowed.html |

Hello friends,As some of you may know, Sprint Premium has been having major delays and many orders got delayed. The supplier is trying to run the unlocks daily with mixed success. Today they have had very few IMEIs unlocked and will be trying again tomorrow. If your order Sprint Premium is delayed past 5 business days and you would like it cancelled please let us know. Simply reply to this email with the IMEI(s) you need to cancel. Otherwise the supplier will try to run them on Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately this delay is beyond our control and we apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you. |

Avoidunlock4less like the plague:1. They failed their promise, most express service takes morethan 3 business days. While other ebay sellers can do it fast, see this 2. They're not using first come first serve. See this 3. There is no easy way or maybe impossible to get your moneyback if they failed. The credit is left in their system. No button to withdraw it. |
The way this works is that none of these "unlockers" or unlocking sites does the unlocking themselves, or if so, then very little. You basically need to have connections to people who have access to the Apple IMEI database, which could be people working for Apple, any carrier (ATT, TMO, Sprint, etc.,), authorized repair centers, refurbish and insurance companies (Asurion etc.). Say you get 10 unlock orders, then you need to spread orders to 2-3 different sources to not have them get busted. then these guys likely work for (process orders for) multiple people as well, so they need to sprinkle them in in between legitimate orders at work. Thus, it will take time. The person actually processing (doing) the unlock does not know what you paid at the site, and they don't update the site like unlock4less in real time, but rather in batches (hey I managed to get these 5 done today).
Thus, always best to just occasionally check your phone, and don't wonder/worries about who placed the order what day and time. Likely, different sources process all of our orders throughout the week and they need to sprinkle it in and cannot just process 500 unlocks for the same iPhone SE brand new Sprint phones in a batch. ;-) Patience, it will eventually come through. That also means the phone is then marked factory unlocked in the apple database. But it's not marked "paid off" in the Sprint system which Ting and others might have to verify. |
