Mostly for the prestige. Ladies/dudes looking for a mate are attracted to people with NVME M.2 SSDs.
there is measurable real world difference between perfromance of 250 vs 500gb varient. The difference between 500gb and 1tb is lesser noticeable. Being said that this deal is still solid.

Dell has it for a bit more but if you have gift cards from recent Dell tv promos that route may be a better deal for you. Just make sure this form factor will work for you regardless.

you paid a lot more money for space that I will not use. this is a better deal for myself because I can't use the extra space. nice try though

AND.... the deal everybody was getting was $190 so you are off by $10.

PS. in another build though.... i got the $190 deal also.

If speed is what you are looking for, which at these speeds increases are hardly noticeable anyways, then 3d nand tech dictates that the larger the drive, the faster it will go. Since you seem to be interested in the speed you should be worried about the size of the drive, just not for storage reeasons.

How noticeable is it? I noticed no real world difference between any SSDs.

I hear you but the 1 TB version is about the same as the 500GB.
