So here's the deal with these. I bought 4 packs probably 3-4 months ago. Gold Toe has moved production from Honduras to Mexico. The ones made in Honduras are a bit thicker and fluffier than Mexico's. Also, the Honduras made ones run about 1 size larger than Mexico's. Of the four packs I bought, I got two from each factory. I wanted to replace all of my socks and have all of them new and exactly the same to make pairing them up from the wash super easy. Well.... Amazon still found a way to eff me on my plan. I can clearly tell when I'm wearing one Honduras and one Mexico made sock.Mad

FWIW, the Mexico made ones still aren't bad quality. The difference in fabric blend that's listed doesn't look like much, but it's pretty obvious once in your hand. The Honduras sock is one tick more on the fluffy winter wool sock side than Mexico's. Mexico's version is a hair thinner and a hair more spandex-y? Again, Mexico's still aren't a bad sock at all. I bought and returned about 5 brands before being happy with these.....albeit from two separate friggin countries.

Oh and I paid $13.99 a pack for the bigger size. So, good deal here.

The big and tall sizes are usually too expensive. $2.00 a pair is great. Thanks.

These are great socks!

I bought these 4 years ago, and they're still holding up well. Probably not the finest quality socks, but I like these the best versus any other socks I've owned.

For shoe size, I'm a size 11.5 or 12 (depending on the shoe).
And these sock size 10-13 did fit me "okay" these past 4 years (no significant complaints, other than when I look at them... I can see a little bigger would be better by the heel).
Now, I just ordered size 13-15.

The black ones serve as good work socks for me.

I had these on my watchlist, Thanks!!!

Gold Toe quality has gone right down the drain in the past 5 years or so. Not worth $2/pair IMO. I paid about $1.25/pair for a bunch of these from Kohl's about 2 years ago and I find they are on the thin side and wear out pretty quick. For $1.25 maybe, not for $2.

BTW, I love Amazon's description for the White Quarter Socks: (Hey, we really don't know what they're made of so we'll just put a bunch of different fabrics and % and maybe we'll get lucky!)

79% Cotton, 15% Polyester, 5% Nylon, 1% Spandex
3" high
4.5" wide
84% Combed Cotton, 14% Stretch Nylon, 2% Spandex
Combed cotton for breathable comfort
Reinforced heel and toe
Ankle Length, 7-12 shoe
Machine wash warm, tumble dry low

I totally agree on Gold Toe's quality...down the tubes. I have worn Gold Toe socks for years and years and years and we used to sell Gold Toe socks in our store. The quality is nowhere near what it was years ago. I would not recommend buying their socks. (Same goes for Jockey underwear.)

These are not the same GoldToe of yesteryear. Like nearly every other company selling out to whatever country, their quality has gone down.
P.S. Kohl's has had these for like $6 a pack (not sure of the extended size pricing though) --- how is this a SlickDeal?!

These socks are trash i bought them last deal from Kohl's site and black socks are most terrible when you take em off after day of work they leave black pieces of inside of sock everywhere on your feet. It's terrible quality they last only 3-4 months and big toe is start to show. I just use 2 pairs of white ones and is a same thing trashy.

Agreed on the quality. Some of my older taller socks have outlived their much newer no-show cousins. Not recommended at all.
