Damn... was just looking at this on eBay, for a single. How much is shipping for non members? Or can non members even buy?

Just my 2c, but I haven't had good luck with these bottles. The second time I used it, filled with with ice cubes and water, water was luke warm after 4 hours. Might be worth it to spend the money on a better bottle, although you do get the Costco return policy if you get a dud, or if it doesn't last very long.

This keeps my water cool. Not cold like my thermos. Ice melts like in an hour, i fill it with 18 cubes in a 40oz bottle. It's a decent bottle though

So you're saying it does not stay cold for the advertised 24 hours?

I meant "I fill it with about 18 oval ice cubes" which is probably 30% percent of the bottle. The rest is water. It melts within an hour. Mine cool not cold. So, nope. Mine doesnt last 24 hrs

it would depend on how cold the water is too. if that water is room temp or slightly colder than that going into the bottle with the ice. the ice would be mostly melted after you put that water in.

i just bought one last week and it doesn't seem to be vacuum insulated as advertised. right after filling up the bottle with cold water, the bottle itself becomes really cold on the outside. this shouldn't happen if it's a real vacuum bottle as i have many others and none of them are cold to the touch after filling up with cold water/ice. will try to exchange at costco and try again. anyone else have this issue?

That's too bad to hear about those 40 ounce bottles. The 25 ounce ones they had at Christmas are completely awesome. I use them all the time and it keeps everything ice cold as advertised.

I have this brand's 24 ounce and 40 ounce bottles and they hold their cool as advertised. Those having problems probably just received duds

I bought this 2 pack in-store about a month ago but I haven't used them yet. I guess I need to use them soon to test out judging by some of these posts.

just curious, but does your 40oz get very cold on the outside at all?

I would return and rebuy.
I have a set that I can put ice in halfway in the evening and still have the ice the next night. I have filled mine with ice and leave in the fridge for instant icy water and it lasts days. Like a poster above said, the outside of mine does not feel cool. Was the lid on tightly?

Also, if you don't need it right now, wait a while. I got mine on clearance for $19.99 for the set.

yeah lid is on tight. it just feels instantly cool after putting water in on the outside. it's only been 2 hours since I filled it and it's already starting to become room temp. thanks for the tip!
