Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I'm already a sprint customer, and I don't have any contracts. anyway I could take advantage of this deal? If I transfer my current lines to tmobile and then port to sprint again, will that work? and as they said we have to have some certain phones for this plan, but after getting a new line, will I be able to swap the device later? like a another sprint device for example or I have to be stack on this phone till one year.

Anyone tried to port over a Verizon S8 from the recent Samsung.com deal? Getting a phone not compatible.

Yes, but not sure if your device is eligible.

I already have sprint sims. I wonder if I can do this with my own sims. I'm going to chat with sprint rep to find out.

I currently have 2 SERO lines with Sprint. I've been looking to get into a better plan since contracts are dead. I was wondering if the following would work:

1. Open 2 new lines on Verizon, buying new iPhones
2. Port those lines over to Sprint for free service (canceling the Verizon lines)
3. Port SERO numbers to Google Voice (which would cancel the SERO lines) and port those numbers back to the new free Sprint lines
4. Move the Sprint iPhones I had on SERO over to the new free lines
5. Return the Verizon iPhones

I guess the main questions are whether lines opened on Verizon now would qualify for the free Sprint service. And then whether porting the old Sprint numbers on top of the ported over Verizon lines would cause any issues.

Thanks!

Has anyone gotten a Nexus 5x to be eligible? I am some that are currently on a Sprint MVNO that it says are not eligible. I am wondering if I swap them off of Sprint then try again whether it will work. But I didn't see any reports of a Nexus 5x passing the eligibility.

The same thing happened with Moto X Pures. The ones that are on Sprint don't come up as eligible, but ones that were not activated on Sprint do come up as eligible. But I'm wondering if it has to be a phone that was NEVER activated on Sprint.

Agreed, 1 year is a long time to give all services free, and there's zero incentive for people to stay with sprint after that point. Maybe ringplus' scamminess rubbed off on sprint?

My Nexus 6 was activated to Ringplus and it is eligible since it has a T-Mobile SIM card inside now.

I did my own experiment with a Nexus 5x. I deactivated it on the Sprint MVNO...but it still says it is not eligible. So far, I have seen multiple reports of Nexus 5x coming up ineligible and have yet to see a report of a successful activation for that model, even though it is on the list.

Anyone with a Nexus 5x get it to come up as eligible?

My ATT iPhone 6s Plus on MintSIM failed when this offer was just put up because it was still active on my Ting account (from RingPlus). I deactivated it from Ting a few days ago and now it shows as qualified for this offer. Don't know if I'm going to jump on this since I already have year of MintSIM 5 gig pre-paid.

From the FAQ and wiki

Must be a Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile customer bringing new lines to Sprint. You must own the phone(s) you're bringing to Sprint.
From multiple posts throughout this thread. "I got the deal with a Ringplus number". I understand Ringplus is an MVNO of some of these networks. The fact is, there were other people getting the deal on other providers, and so I tried with Twigby. I didn't get it.

I shared my experience. I wrote two sentences about it. There are much worse posts all over slickdeals that have nothing to do with the product in the thread they are in. Yet somehow this is a problem.

Lighten up people.
