Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

This deal is very tempting and dont have a Sprint phone rather CDMA phone. First time felt should have bought a Sprint phone I am sure others would have felt the same.

Checked my Freedompop CDMA phone Says device not compatible (WTF?) and already activated on a Sprint account (understandable).
Wonder if it's worth the trouble getting the phone off of FreedomPop and retry. The credit check and the fees probably make it not.
I ran thru a freshly deactivated (had it on Ting last night for a few min accidentally) Sprint LG X Power with FP number, good luck! I was pissed at FP's nickel and dime free plan & was just about to switch the daughter to Cricket!

Looks like Boost isn't eligible. Tried a few of my Boost Mobile iPhone SEs and they were not eligible, even though they're unlocked.
How can I unlock a Boost phone? I have a Samsung galaxy s4 and it would be great if I could use it for an upcoming trip overseas. thanks.

Surprised about all the Sprint hate. Had them for years with no issues and very good customer service when I needed it. Moved overseas for a bit and when I came back I had T-Mobile briefly and got horrible customer service. Was going to switch back to Sprint but instead switched to Boost since it is the same service for a lot less.

I assume Boost isn't eligible for this promotion though.
Boost is owned by sprint

Nope. All they doing is trying to prove to those who switch how greatly they improved their service for free. Once customers use them for a year and find out they are not worse then T-mobile, Att and Verizon but alot cheaper they will stay. Disclaimer: I am a T-Mobile customer and just trying to guess their strategy based on Sprints latest ads and their network expansion. Do you remember their 1% worse then Verizon ads?

Not sure how you'd unlock Android phones, as I use iPhones. However, I was able to pay eBay unlock sellers $29 to unlock my Boost iPhone SEs.

Does enrolling in this automatically cancel your current T-mobile plan since it requires you to port your number?

I'm on a grandfathered plan, and I'd like to give Sprint a shot with the peace of mind of bring able to fall back on my current plan.
Yeah ported my number and it cancelled my account. Had to call customer service to double check since you cant login with your phone number after porting.

I entered my 6+ and my Tello number, it showed my phone not eligible. Then I entered the same phone's IMEI but with my wife's Mint sim number and it accepted as eligible. Just a heads up!
