Just got off with Sprint CHAT.
Estimated $15 a month for Sprint Surcharges and fees
Estimated $16.50 taxes and additional fees. (they figure taxes on the undiscounted monthly amount...$60 + $40 for 2nd line and then tack on some other things that are not REALLY taxes)
So it goes from Free to $31.50 before any other bogus charges per month. Versus my current $20+$15 for two lines on FI +$10/GB. No additional charge international roaming, and free data-only sims. Currently FI still fits me better. but YMMV of course.
in the end, u will be the repsonsible person should the deal not work because u violated the terms..

I asked her to give me an estimate and it was $6. I am in the Bay area.

I bought my Nexus 6 unlocked on Amazon and was on Fi for a little over a year. Then I switched it to Verizon (postpaid) a couple months ago. But it still shows ineligible for this promotion. So it seems just having been on Fi in the past causes it to show ineligible. Temporarily porting elsewhere likely wouldn't help.
Coverage definitely isn't as thorough as Verizon, but it seemed pretty decent and faster/more reliable in many places. How happy you will be with Sprint will depend if you happen to live/work/frequent somewhere where Sprint has a weak signal.

Find out on your own, read the fine print, Sprint will never honor the words of their employees. You sign an agreement and TOS before committing. Your answers will always be there.
This is also something I want to bring up. Right now it says "postpaid" customers. Just because the initial check works to sign up, doesn't mean you're going to get that deal. Sprint has every right NOT to honor it. If they don't have to give free service, you can bet they won't. I would bet money that they're hoping this will get people to overlook and settle after the pain of doing the whole process of switching over. I worked for Sprint for a couple years during college, they do these underhanded things all the time.
