Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

You would need to reassign it online or call/chat with customer service to swap devices.

Ting has the most obnoxious customer service reps. The company claims to give the best customer service experience but it's a complete hypocrisy! Port out your Ting numbers before you need to deal with them!!
I completely agree. Plus they are expensive a hell

I'm optimistic but truth is when I sign up for sprint back when they have $50 unlimited deal and that TOOK 2 months to get it right on the account. I certainly hope this won't be something where we pay first and credited later.

Yes! It'll only work in the device it's originally programmed for. They even lock the Sims on their prepaid services such as Virgin Mobile. They're a very stingy company.
Doesn't matter if you brought your own device or not. It's maddening.

I don't believe the sim is any different but just the way sprint wants to control or keep only approved devices on their network.

Checked my number and iphone 5c verizon unlocked are eligible. Called sprint but CSR said I might get a full price bill (not free) because the number I want to port (from metropcs) is not on the iphone 5c. I use a LG max pro on metropcs. According to him, ported phone# must be on the device of the BYOD. Anybody knows anything about this?

I call that bs. How do they know what phone you're using on different network?

He's telling you what he has to say, because according to the terms of switching, you're bringing your phone and number from the approved company. He can't tell you about the loopholes while being recorded. Those calls are 5-10 of his calls are reviewed every shift he works, and they have no idea which they'll be reviewing. They don't know which phone is actually on the account phone number being switched.

But! Like I said before, they do know what company it's being ported from, and they may choose not to honor the deal a month into it. Most of the time they don't tell you, you will just get the bill. Seriously I saw this stuff all the time while working for them not even 5 years ago. I wouldn't put faith in them to ever do the "right thing".

Exactly. I replied there's nothing stating on the sprint promo page about phone# and device needed to be tied together for this offer. But he went on about the training they got for this special promo and that's what they were told. I want to do it. Sprint service is fair where I live, but I don't want to fight with their billing dept later.

just tried....put in IMEI's from my Verizon but now used on Cricket Pixel (2 Phones) and a newly Amazon bought MotoG5 Plus, a 2015 Moto X Pure, and a Nexus 5X, all with Cricket phone numbers and Sprint website says it's all good. just can't pull the trigger, dunno how will coverage be in my area. Is there any way to rent a Sprint phone or a good Sprint MVNO to try and check my coverage in my area, including signal inside building? I don't really have any problems with my Cricket 5 lines for $100 but if I can save money.....

Two lines

Just got off with Sprint CHAT.
Estimated $15 a month for Sprint Surcharges and fees
Estimated $16.50 taxes and additional fees. (they figure taxes on the undiscounted monthly amount...$60 + $40 for 2nd line and then tack on some other things that are not REALLY taxes)

So it goes from Free to $31.50 before any other bogus charges per month. Versus my current $20+$15 for two lines on FI +$10/GB. No additional charge international roaming, and free data-only sims. Currently FI still fits me better. but YMMV of course.
Highly dependent on the state you live in. I have two lines on Sprint now and only pay a total of $11 in taxes, fees, surcharges, etc. So less than $6/line.

This is very convenient. My phone is a little old now I wouldn't mind getting it unlocked to take this offer.

Has anyone gotten a Nexus 5x to be eligible? I am some that are currently on a Sprint MVNO that it says are not eligible. I am wondering if I swap them off of Sprint then try again whether it will work. But I didn't see any reports of a Nexus 5x passing the eligibility.

The same thing happened with Moto X Pures. The ones that are on Sprint don't come up as eligible, but ones that were not activated on Sprint do come up as eligible. But I'm wondering if it has to be a phone that was NEVER activated on Sprint.
Jamesqaddition and multiplication with division of a number less than 10. does not seem that hard to me... maybe I am an anomaly.

right now Sprint website says my Nexus 5x and Moto X Pure are eligble. Both phones are never on Sprint or Sprint MVNO.
