Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

like what? what are ur suggestions?
Go to Verizon and get their cheapest plan the 2gb one. Activation fee is 30 bucks but it's refundable if you port out or cancel service within 3 days. All you will be paying then is the prorated monthly charges and taxes for however many days you are with them. 35 for the 2gb plan plus 20 bucks a line access charge. One day of service for one line would be 55 x 0.3 which would be like 2 bucks plus taxes and fees of course. Would be more for more lines and or more days which is why I said like 15 bucks but that's being generous.

After you have service for 1-2 days port out to sprint. You've then satisfied the terms of porting in from postpaid carrier and will be eligible for the promotion.

For me so far.... NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!

First my order is apparently stuck due to activation error. I contact CS via web chat and they told me that I have to call in to fix this error. Wow, that's a great start?!?!? Plus the $10 charge was suppose to be due to overnight charge but that won't happen so one would assume that should be refunded.... we will see

You would need to reassign it online or call/chat with customer service to swap devices.
I would like to know can you swap sim to another phone such as from iphone 6 to an android after a few months by changing the details from the website/cust care or I need to change the sim card?

"Postpaid carrier" is not the same thing as "postpaid account". Besides, they determined my T-Mobile prepaid was eligible, took my money for a SIM, and the only mention of "postpaid carrier" was some extremely fine print at the very bottom of the page. If they don't honor it, they will have a class action suit on their hands. Lots of people will be in my boat. Also, they give this as the only eligible iPhone 7, "Apple iPhone 7 (Verizon only)". That's clearly wrong.

When does the activation date start? When you receive the SIM in mail or when you actually put the SIM in the phone?

Also, anyone able to do this deal with MetroPCS or Cricket?

gotcha..nice...thanks...i guess the only downfall is if sprint takes more than 3 days to port..then u r stuck with the activation fee.....

in any event...good strategy,,for those that are super risk averse

Just go into Verizon store. First day of activation counts as first day. If you decide to do it online then I think sims are inactive and have to be activated. Would assume first day would start on activation date. Not sure though because I haven't done it that way.

They can find your carrier in an instant: https://www.textmagic.com/free-to...ier-lookup

If they don't check it during their validation before credit check and their Customer Service claims MVNO are eligible, they would get a month of service fees but create lots of pissed customers who will port out and never return.

Quote from rkx :
Yes if you don't want to go through the trouble of transferring to postpaid first then I would wait till others can confirm but there may be no confirmation until the first bills arrive and by that time the promotion will be over.

It's really cheap to just get a postpaid account for 2 days then transfer to sprint. Don't know why everyone's trying to avoid doing it.

Sprint only knows phone numbers associated with their services right now. They won't know for sure who services the number you are providing (if it's not with them). They WILL know when you port over because you have to provide an account number and PIN number (along with billing address name etc) to port your numbers. They use the account numbers to contact your provider and get the approval for port. They can then use this information to determine your eligibility.

If people want to take the risk over 15 bucks it's their prerogative but seriously what's 15 bucks when you are going to save hundreds?

Yeah, well go ahead and jump through unnecessary hoops. Have fun tying yourself in knots. T-Mobile is a "postpaid carrier", and thus any account from them satisfies their fine print.
