Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

The only way to use your own sim is call Sprint with the number at the first page. 866-782-8777

However someone in the middle of all these comment said that the SIM for this promo is different than the BYOD sim, so I dont know how true it is but you are on your own if that's true.
That's exactly what I did. Called this number, used a couple SIMs bought a few months ago when they were free. Got everything setup on the phone - took 40 minutes or so (including credit check)

This indeed was free to setup. Waiting for first bill that will tell me the exact amount of taxes - can't complain for unlimited service for a year for less than $10 a month

Ported one line from MintSim and another from t-mobile 200mb free data for life (treated just like another prepaid). The rep was skeptical that the account number of the t-mobile number was the same as the phone number. Convincing her to submit the port took some time!

Happy getting almost 100mbps download!

For those that already ported what does it say when you log in under monthly cost? Mine says 65. I know that is the price without autopay at the end of the free year but are you all seeing the same thing or did something go screwy with mine?
Looks like something is not setup correctly for you. When I login, my account shows this:

And clearly you don't care about spelling either. Right, non sense. Yeah warning other people that the deal with sprint, probably isn't on the up and up is non sense. Yeah go for it, and when you get charged for shit on your free deal remember what you typed. I'm going to be laughing.
Did this guy really just criticize keung for spelling the word, nonsense, correctly and spelled it wrong multiple times in his own post? LOL

Thanks for the details. Will be interesting to see if your number is eligible once you port it out.
MetroPCS would not let me port two numbers (Sprint and Ting) to MetroPCS and get two Samsung Galaxy J3 Primes. They said if I port out, they would flag my numbers as suspicious and I would lose my current phone numbers. So I am now finding the best way to get two numbers to port to Sprint. I am thinking T-Mobile Prepaid Pay As You Go. Their SIM is $10. I don't know how much activation is, but if I don't use any minutes, texts, or data, then I'm assuming that would be all I need to pay.

finally googled on how to reset settings on sprint network and then after a few restarts it started to work.

Initiated porting from FreedomPop. Signed up for the auto-payment to avoid the $5 fee.
Quote from seanickson :
awesome so sprint says my phone is eligible, however the number I've been using would not be from postpaid(freedompop), is it worth trying?
Quote from lou2004 :
Just $13+tax to try. Let us know how it goes. I have about 20 lines with Freedompop.
At least Eightstar was able to port out from FP EVENTUALLY. Any other actual FP success stories yet?
I reset my port out PIN prior & completed the port info very carefully. Called to see what issue was-porting PIN not matching somehow of course! Sprint rep tried 3x & I tried resetting the PIN 2x. Line is no longer in service so they already kinda ported the number & my online FP acct is all grayed out, but Sprint obviously can't pickup the number.

Quote from sharp99 :
how do you know they're adding a 'massive" amount?
There's some 300K SDers that have come to this thread. Word is out & plastered all over the web. There's definately alot of Sprint haters that aren't jumping in though.

Did you happen to check the phone's eligibility on the website prior to calling?

Used a google voice number without a problem, just have to unlock it so it can be ported out. Although I ended up calling telesales because I wanted to use existing SIM card not a new one.
Any good instructions for telesales?
Here's my acct situation:
Already have 1 line/1 acct that is a fight to get released from FP to Sprint.
I have 3 prior Sprint phones being delivered tomorrow that all have Sprint SIMs still in them.
Think they can activate the 3 prior Sprint phones with deactivated SIMs in them on the existing 1 line acct?

Try https://my.freedompop.com/login , there is where I got my FreedomPop port out info from. It has all info for port out in settings tab. It even has Zip Code, Name, etc. so it feels legit. I didn't port out to Sprint though, I ported my number to Sideline .... and is totally unrelated to this Sprint offer

Did any one tried porting number with Pre-paid numbers of AT&T or T-Mobile?? Any luck in getting the deal, let me know.
Successful port into Sprint from Cricket. No problem. Got a nice "Thanks for choosing Sprint" email yesterday verifying that I am enrolled in the totally free unlimited deal.

KEEP IN MIND: no VoLTE MEANS no talk and surf - no checking email or online access while on a call.. how come nobody is highlighting this obvious deal breaker on Sprint ???
It's a takeaway, but for the price? I can live with it.

Success! From Twigby (sprint mvno) to t- mo and 30 minutes after port was working Sprint telesales tried the port and said I needed to wait on the line with the port team. They hit a snag, said something about the presence of the line being on sprint already, tried to transfer me to L3 - so I hung up and waited a day. Noticed emails confirming everything was good on the port and logged into new account. Port was still hung. Did a 4 minute online chat and entered some code on the phone and boom, smooth sailing.

I had walked in to t-mo and picked a post paid $75 plan. They gave a sim kit for free, total for activation +tax was $27. Figure from what I read on here I can get that waived and only be out a few bucks for the t-mo port. Then I walked next door to sprint and the dude just handed me a free sim laying around- just in case the twigby one I had raised flags.
