That change apn part always worked for my Pixel with your same issues when I would switch carriers.
sprint allows referrals, slickdeals does not allow referrals... slickdeals tends to make money when people click through the links from slickdeals and someone referring over slickdeals tends to invalidate slickdeals making money o that click through.... in short, slickdeals wants the $ for you signing up rather than allowing you to refer someone.

I don't know what their reasoning is - possibly one of the bands (HPUE) isn't active on the Verizon brandware. Flashing it to Sprint or just not having it and using the Verizon flash would be just fine. Getting the phone's imei whitelisted on their database seems near impossible.

It connects to a human who can take your information and submit a ticket.

no, it is for the referral $. SD usually makes money off your purchase through their link.
reddit has good referral threads for things, SD does not allow simply because $$$, as I understand it.
