I put the sim in my Nexus 6 like 30 minutes later and it won't get past "Configuring your cellular network" and I have no service. Got on chat and it sounded like they couldn't access my account and I was transferred awhile ago, but still on hold waiting for a new representative to look into it.
If you think this may be the same issue you had, any advice on fixing this? Don't have another phone number to call from right now, but guess I could call with my Verizon SIM while it is still active (assuming it is, not positive).

Step 1:
Connect to a Wi-Fi network
Go to dial pad
Enter ##25327#
Press Call
A "Reset Subscriber Settings" message will appear - press OK
Wait 5-10 seconds; the signal notification will display "Searching" on the top left of the screen.
When the phone shows a signal again, you can proceed to the next step.
Step 2:
Press the phone app
Dial ##873283#
Press Call
Starting Service Update message will appear - press OK
If update is successful Service Update Complete message will appear after about a minute - press OK.
You should be good after that. My phone started working after these steps.
