Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

So I finally decided to take the plunge and switch from Tmobile, who I've been with for 10 years, and I called on Tuesday, they said I was eligible and they sent me a SIM.

Today I call to activate the SIM and they said my phone is reported as lost/stolen and I can't activate it. I asked how is this possible, I purchased my iPhone 6s unlocked from an apple store in 2015, and they said it just is and there isn't anything they can do. So then I call Apple and they say it is all fine on their end with no issues.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this? I'm not buying a new phone, and I'm happy with Tmobile, I just wanted to save some money!

A few people and I have done it. Depends on your account and device history, you can either swap the device online yourself or call Sprint to do it.

What are the model number and part number as printed on the box? Check your IMEI on Sprint BYOD, Ting BYOD, Tello BYOD, and Swappa IMEI checkers, what do you see? Also buy a copy of Apple GSX report on eBay and post it here.

I don't have the box anymore, but I did try it on Verizon BYOD and Ting BYOD and both said I was eligible to switch. I also went on Swappa and it says "Clear, device is activation ready" and it isn't globally blacklisted. I did buy the phone in the UK as an unlocked iPhone and I was traveling back and forth swapping sims for about the first year I had it, but I've been on Tmobile since with no problems.

Try asking Sprint to add the IMEI onto the Sprint database. They have a tool called DNA2 that is used to add Apple IMEI onto the Sprint database. Without knowing the model and part number of the phone, I am guessing the IMEI is not on the Sprint database because you said it's bought in the UK.

You are probably right, it's a UK model number, A1688, so that might be why it isn't showing, although I did tell Sprint I bought it in the UK, I also specifically bought this model because it works on all the US networks.

Not all Sprint reps know how to add IMEI onto the Sprint database, so you may have to call several times till you get someone who knows how to do it. You may want to call Sprint corporate stores near you as well because most corporate stores have the DNA2 tool to add Apple IMEI onto the Sprint database. Keep us posted and good luck.

Try Sprint's tech support department: 866-556-7310
Keep in mind that some reps don't know what they are doing. I've had 2 reps who were helpful, but I had one rep who gave me all the wrong info. He even told me my phone was a paper weight because it was locked to RP when I was actually using it on AT&T. I got frustrated, so I hung up and called back. A new rep, on the spot, told me that my issue had been resolved already and my phone was good to go. You just can't trust everything that their reps say. If something doesn't add up, just hung up and talk to someone else.
