I don't think you can access apn settings manually on the iphone for sprint. At least not on my 6s on ios 10.
Also Wifi Calling is great and is going to be better than Google Voice because it is integrated into the phone.
Also free calling to and roaming in Canada. Free roaming on Verizon too.
etc.
Also. Are you indoors or off the beaten path of LTE coverage ?
If you go to sprints coverage map, I was able to select my device and get a more accurate coverage based on my device. It changed quite a bit in my opinion. Also, after 4-5 days, make sure to enable wifi calling. That's the only way I can talk indoors with sprint as their coverage is weak inside buildings.

1. I do not work for Sprint. If you have issues after activating, you'll need to contact Sprint in order to get tech support. PMing me with your name, your phone number and your Sprint PIN because you have data speed issues is not helpful. Yes, someone did that.
2. I cannot add serial numbers to Sprint's database. This includes unlocked iPhones. If you need an iPhone added to the database that was not purchased from Sprint, you'll need a corporate store with access to the DNA2 database tool. CALL THEM BEFORE YOU GO. No sense in wasting everyone's time. The iPhone will need to have an unlocked Activation Policy before being eligible to accept a Sprint SIM card. You can get a GSX report on eBay to see if it has an unlocked Activation policy.
3. I cannot add serial numbers to Sprint's database. This includes your U-ROM flashed S7 and S7E, S8, S8+, etc. Sprint's whitelist does not care what software your phone runs. If the MEID isn't in their whitelist, it will fail. There's some limited success in this thread regarding contacting them to get it added, but I cannot assist in this matter. The Experience editions should already be added to the database.
4. What I can do is flip the ownership flag (sometimes called the MVNO flag, or the PLBL/SPCS flag) for devices that have been active on a Sprint MVNO in the past. I CANNOT flip the flag for devices that are currently active on the network in some way, including on MVNOs. I've denied tons of request for this. There's some guidance on porting to another service to free up the device in the thread, but I cannot provide guidance on that unless you want to port to a Ting GSM SIM card. (ting.com/shop)
5. I will not flip the ownership flag for devices that started their lives as Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile or Sprint Prepaid devices. You'll need to meet the unlock policies of these carriers, and they'll provide the tech support you need. This isn't just because it's bypassing a network partner policy (which I would prefer not to do. I like Sprint a lot!), but it puts a lot of things in jeopardy (my job, your Sprint service, my employers network agreements). If you'd like to contact Sprint to see if they'll flip the flag, you're more than welcome. I will not be flipping those flags. Even if you find someone who will flip it, the device could still fail FED and not activate.
5a. These phones are still mostly capable of activating on MVNOs, even if they're not compatible with Sprint. This is where your MVNOs serial number checker comes in really handy.
6. Please don't send more than one request, and do not double up support requests. It does you no good to PM me, then ask here on SlickDeals, then send an email to my coworkers, then ask your local Sprint store, then open a ClickIT with tech support, then contact Marci on Twitter all for one serial number. I am here, and I promise I'll get to all requests that I see and can help with while I'm working. The deal was extended, so you'll be seeing a lot of me unless something changes.
7. Yes, Ting CDMA SIM cards will work if you already have one or need one (ting.com/shop). Ting GSM X1 SIM cards will not work for Sprint. We're out of some of them, but we should have the most popular ones. Make sure you know the SIM part number you need before ordering. You can also get SIM cards from your local Sprint store (YMMV), Best Buy (YMMV) and Sprint international Care (sprint.com/chat)
I think that's everything. 330 pages in and we're finally getting somewhere!

You figure if they change the terms that they should disable the referral program for numbers on the free plan.
I wasted some time at bestbuy yesterday as they first gave me the wrong part number. Luckily I was on the phone with sprint customer service guy who was very patient and tried three different IMEIs from three different Sprint SIM part numbers and the third one worked. Phone is great and I'm getting around 10-12mbps download and 6-8mbps upload in the Bethlehem pa area.
