Did you signup in a store then cancel online?
That is what I was hoping to do.
I want to sign up at a Verizon Wireless store to get the Verizon sim & get immediately in verizon wireless service then cancel online within 3 days later and not get charged anything.
Do they charge to port out the number they created for you?

However, I checked my credit monitoring service and it did indeed show a hard inquiry from Sprint with Experian.

I know someone who had a new account, canceled within 14 days and ~36 hours later opened free for a year lines.
So at least if you cancel in the 14 day new customer cancellation period you should be able to come right back to the free lines.
