Most unlockers have the ability to "clean" the FED also for a fee. For Apple devices, Apple recently made some changes to the Apple GSX servers, where you can't SIM unlock any Apple device before the FED is clear; the unlockers are happy to comply because they are making extra $$$ from "cleaning" FED

FED is something that is in Sprint's database, not Apple's.

I've ported out from Mintsim with sprint lg v20 ls997 and it worked, even thought the phone is not on the list and I guess sprint s7, s7 edge, s8 will work too. I paid $180 for it. It still better than moto g4 or g5. You can find a cheap one on ebay or craiglists.
