Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I had to port out of Sprint to somewhere (Ting) in order to not pay Sprint monthly charges.
Is there anything I can do to have the flag changed? Or to port out of Ting .. to where? What happens if I cancel Ting account?

Quote from Verniculous :
That's because you put it on Ting. Now the ownership flag in the Sprint DMD says PLBL instead of SPCS.

this thread is huge, so sorry in advance if this has already been posted.

was able to port a Freedompop#, had to call CS, couldn't complete online. also signed up for Tidal & AA miles. verified thru CS that BYOD 1yr free is eligible for AA miles

CS said buy sim in store, however, none of the Sprint or Best Buy stores in my area had the correct sim in stock for a MotoG4 (maybe all Moto's in general). Sprint had to send a CSIM V1 activation kit.

once # started porting, created Sprint account and as soon as I logged in there was a notice that it would take up to 4 days for the port to complete or if I wanted it completed sooner call… (don't remember#), called# and port was completed within the hour

Thanks.
I have iPhone SE from the BB deal. Fully paid, unlocked and ported to Ting.
That SE shows 'not eligible' for this deal, even with a valid Verizon or FreedomPOP phone number.

I will check out the other phones you mentioned. I'd like to get a phone that can be used with ATT. Verizon, Tmobile, (possibly sprint) ..... if such a thing exists.
Mistake to put the phone on Ting. Ting is a Sprint MVNO so the phone is currently activated on the Sprint network. No phones on the Sprint network are eligible for this free plan.

I want to take advantage of this promotion, but I have a few questions I couldn't find answers to elsewhere in this thread (it's a LOT to look through!).

I purchased 2 Moto G5 Plus from Amazon due in tomorrow. I am currently on a prepaid Verizon plan with two incompatible phones.

My understanding is I can use the IMEI codes from the two Modo G5's and my current phone number with Verizon to pass the eligibility check on Sprint's website - is that correct?

Or, do I have to go to a Verizon store first and set up my new G5's with them before being eligible on the Sprint site?

Thanks for any help!
Verizon numbers with Moto IMEIs should be fine. No need to put the phones on Verizon.

DId not realize it when porting out.
It is unlocked. Would it work (bring back to BYOD) if I port out from Ting? Where to? H2O? Freedompop?

Sprint has sent me two SIM cards now to try to work with the Motorola E4 (bestbuy deal from earlier this week) and for some reason they're having trouble activating. The IMEI shows as eligible, but for some reason they can't seem to get me a compatible SIM. The customer service person working with me is now trying to tell me the phone isn't compatible, despite the fact that the IMEI checks out in the system and they've worked with other Moto phones.

That's a long-ish lead up to my questions: Has anyone else had any trouble activating the Moto E4 with this Sprint Plan? Has anyone been successful? (If so, do you know which type of SIM card kit you used?)

Thanks!
I activated a Moto E4, ported in from FreedomPop, successfully. Use SIM Part# SIMOLW416Q or SIMGLW416Q. The 506C "universal SIM" does not work in the Moto E4.

I got my SIM from Twigby.com .... $2.99.

H2O should work for the port in since it is AT&T but the problem you have is now the ownership flag of your device is set to PLBL. And I am not sure if a Sprint iPSE will work to port into H2O but since it is a GSM carrier, all you would need is the IMEI of a GSM phone.

A sprint rep would have to change it in the DMD, there was a person on here who was helping people do that, search the thread.

For the flag to be switched, the device cannot be active on the Sprint network.

don't go to Verizon, Sprint handles the transfer. Once you pass eligibility check, as part of account/phone set up, Sprint will send you (or may be available local) Sprint sims for your new phones. once you receive the sims call Sprint and they will port your #'s from Verizon.

I thought I'd have to go to Verizon to at least cancel my prepaid plan?

Has ANYONE actually managed to get paid the $50 referral/ $100 credit union/ AAdvantage miles??
Or is it a confirmed certainty we're not getting these and I shouldn't even bother.

Also, did anyone ever manage to get a Boost/ Virgin/ Sprint prepaid adroid device activated on this deal and if so how did you get the flag switched to SPCS?

Sprint won't whitelist that device.

Sprint won't whitelist it so it is a moot point since it will never be used on Sprint's network.
What do you mean by that. I bought one and received it. When I check eligibility on sprint web site it passed it.
