Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Chat rep says swap device is activating a new device and it will void the offer...will try again with new chat...
I wouldn't ask the rep specifically if swapping device voids plan. They don't even know this promo. Just chat and say need help with swapping device. They never ask why

Is there a way to activate the lines without having phones in hand? I'd like to get the free Moto E4 from the metro deal but that doesn't go live until July 31. If I could activate now and swap to the metro phones when I get them it would be a killer deal. Any ideas?

Sure. You don't need phone in hand to activate. It's how I did my first line. Used a friends phone, just need imei. But.... you need to have some usage or they might cancel ur line. Plus the moto e4 from metro won't be unlockable until 3 months after

You need a compatible phone to activate. You can swap your E4 later ..

I currently have a moto e (2nd gen) on ting CDMA. I also bought the moto g5+ from amazon on prime day. I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep my ting phone number, but switch over to this plan using the new g5+ that is currently unused. Can anyone help?

EDIT: forgot to add that I have an unused AT&T sim I can pop into the G5+ to switch over to first if necessary ($10 minimum top-up required for this route).
Just Port that Moto e to T-Mobile$3 plan. Then just sign up for this promo with the g5+. be sure you have a sim ready for the G5

Just sharing. I'm an existing customer that made referrals and just got the email I've got GC on the way for referrals I made for this plan. So those ppl should be getting their GC.

If u are only this BYOD plan, u would not be able to make referrals. Or at least I'm pretty sure they won't honor it.
How long did it take after the referral to get the credit? Thanks.

from the wiki:

Google Voice Instructions

I believe others are having luck by following these instructions:

Go to https://www.google.com/voice/b/0/unlock and unlock your Google Voice number, which will cost $3 and is payable online by card
Set a voicemail pin here https://www.google.com/voice/b/0#...ilsettings - you will need this pin in order to finish the porting

Good luck, I haven't personally verified this but others in the thread seem to be having luck

If you've never set your pin or if you want to try to change it, this worked for me:

Change your PIN
On your computer, open Google Voice.
At the top left, open Menu Menu and then Legacy Google Voice. Google Voice will look different, but you're in the right place.
At the top right, click Settings Settings and then Settings.
Click the "Voicemail & Text" tab.
Next to "Voicemail PIN," enter and confirm your new PIN.
At the bottom, click Save changes.

And

PORTING ISSUES

Beware if the port process does not go perfectly, as you will have NO WAY to resolve it. An email saying things were Successful, DOES NOT MEAN it was successful. You will only know once you insert your SIM card and it is unable to connect to a network. if you get that message, essentially you are fukked. You will have wasted money on a SIM/shipping, possibly screwed up your old service by issuing a port request, wasted a hard credit pull, and likely will have to fight auto bill issues in the future.

If your phone number doesn't transfer correctly, you will will NOT be able to setup an account. Calling Sprint (and being transferred to (3-4) other departments) will not help. At this point I have been asked to go to a STORE. Whats the chances things will go correctly there?! None.

If the number has NOT ported in the time telesales mentioned, call 888-876-8381
Make sure the account name matches where your porting from, otherwise, porting will fail and you will need to tell Sprint the name that matches the account. - swammer

Direct number to Sprint's Porting Department: (877) 503-3269 --bngguy

Activation problems with Sprint card? It's either a porting delay or if not try putting your Sprint sim and dialing ##8732834# - wait a bit then reboot. Phone rep told me this re-activates the phone or something to that effect

It's no wonder they're giving away a year of their awful service, I don't think they'll last another year as is. This whole thing has been a giant joke/scam for me. Have spent the day chatting on the phone, online and in store getting nowhere. I passed eligibility and ordered 2 sims Sunday from Sprint. Received today and activated online fine and entered the correct porting details. Sprints port status websites states both numbers have been successfully ported when they haven't. At this point I'm cutting my losses at the SIM card purchases and wasted time. Those bastards send me a bill we gonna have problems. RIP Sprint, you dumb bastards did your selves in with years of idiotic mismanagement.
I had the same problem yesterday. However, today, I tried to activate it online again, and this time my number has been ported successfully.

I guess their online activation system sometimes fails to create account, therefore it actually did not initiate the porting process. The first time, my confirmation webpage said DEFAULT_ORDER_MESSAGE, and this time it showed the confirmation number, though both times it said my free plan account has been created and showed the same pin.

You can try to activate your phones again online using a clean browser. I used chrome with several extensions for the failed activation, and today, I switched to safari after I cleared its history.

Good luck.
