I ported a Tmobile prepaid to an iPhone. It took a couple of hours for the iphone to start acting properly. I also did a factory reset on the phone to help get it going. I had all kinds of problems before it started acting normally.

I chat with a representative online. She said they only do soft credit check for this deal. Is it true? I absolutely cannot waste a hard credit pull but the community wiki says it will be a hard credit pull in big bold font. Those who have gotten this deal - please let me know what happened in your case.

Finally,
Key was having SIM and IMEI match. You CANNOT swap sim card to different phone on Sprint. Hope this helps someone.

its hard pull.. cannot waste a hard pull....?
if you are taking atleast 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 lines.. then you are saving a lot... if you are taking just 1 line then probably your personal choice to waste hard pull or not Smilie

Issue was Sprint pairs their SIM with IMEI. You can't swap phones. Anyway I think I got it.

When I first signed up I was put on a temp plan then switched over to the free plan.The first month I was charged $64.

Good news is that the second month I am being refunded the original charge. It was done automatically.

I know this was a concern with others here. Hopefully it works the same with everyone.

So far happy with Sprint.
