Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Just got back from Worst Buy. Csr in store showed me price of 2.49 and $90 GC on J3. Went through half an hour of processing, including apparent credit check even though approved for 5 lines, then asked for confirmation of price before swiping to pay tax. 6.50/month 6.50 credited back each month since New line and no idea why not upgrade eligible since all current phones are paid for. So if cancel before 24 months, don't get full credit. No GC. Asked to cancel, did not swipe, given no written confirmation of cancel, must call Sprint. Bait and Switch bs. Walked out. FML.
Sorry about that. I ordered online for pickup $2.49 a month paid off dpp $59.76.

Did you do upgrade? $2.49 is only good on upgrades you might have got add a line price.

Just when through a terrible experience wanted to share it:

I originally went into a Sprint Corporate store and said I wanted to sign up for the 1yearfree deal. When the sales rep said he had never heard of it, I should have walked away. Instead I showed him the web page that listed the details of the 1 year free deal, and he said "yeah I can set you up with that" so he proceeds to set me up on a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and PAID PLAN. I didn't find out until I got home and logged in to my account and checked. So I call 611 to change it to the 1 year free plan and they say they can't do it because I got it in person, and the 1 year free is online only. I go back to the store and they say, oops sorry they can't put me on the 1 year free plan, it's online only. After an hour on the phone with 611 trying to change it, they finally say to cancel the account (and port my number back to TMO), then try again.

So less than 24 hours later, i cancel the account and port my number back to TMO. Then I go online to try and get the 1 year free deal. The imei and number pass the eligibility check and I get the new SIM in the mail next day, which is today, and I try to set it up, but they said I am no longer eligible because the account I opened for 1 day in person at the store disqualifies me from getting the 1 year free deal. WTF??? or should i say LOL!!

Moral of the story is: this is an online or telesales only deal.

How did you choose a new number after porting out the old one? Thanks.

Quote from ECartman :
If you already have a FreedomPop GSM or LTE SIM, that is a no-brainer line to use. The beauty is porting out of FP does not close your account, you can choose a new number and use the same account to port out the next day if you want more than 1 Sprint BYOD line.

I am not sure obtaining a FP account from scratch (for 99 cents) just for this promo is worth it given all the fuss people have with FP. But I have been able to do 3 Sprint lines by porting in from a single free FP account, and it only took one day each (once other SD'ers told me about calling to expedite the port).

Where your number is listed in your FP account, it will be replaced by a link that says: 'choose a number'

Sprint won't whitelist that device.

Sprint won't whitelist it so it is a moot point since it will never be used on Sprint's network.
Quote from xlckx :
I got mine ported yesterday after calling the porting team, it took 30 minutes (as opposed to 5 mins stated in wiki), I even got an email from Google around the 25 mins mark:

This email is to confirm that your Google Voice number (xxx-xxx-xxxx) has been ported away from Google Voice.

Restarted my iPhone and it connected right away.

Edit: removed the double quotes, sorry!
I'm waiting since 4 days. Tried calling them several times with no luck. Sprint claims that their phone calls and emails to GVoice are not being returned regarding this port.

What's the magic to get the port from Verizon to work? Should the account number be XXXXXXXX-00001 or XXXXXXXX00001 or XXXXXXXX on Sprint's account transfer screen?

Edit: it's XXXXXXXX00001
When I've ported from Verizon in the past, I've left off the trailing 00001, and the numbers ported fine.

I picked up a Moto E4 at BestBuy today, the girl was extremely nice and Price Matched the ad version on Amazon for Prime members for $99.99. Also had a $10 giftcard laying around, so I got the phone for $89.99 + tax.

I just ordered the simcard from the Cartman post for $2.99, and going to try porting in when it arrives.

Thanks for the suggestion, that worked. Slickdeals rocks!!! :-)

Just a little more FYI in case anyone else is in a similar situation. I originally had a boost mobile iphone se from a slickdeal a while back and got it unlocked using unlock4less and was using it on TMO. I knew that phone probably wouldn't work for this, I checked with sprint and confirmed it doesn't, so I picked up a moto e4 which is working good for me - it's only been 20 minutes on the new service so far, but Sprint coverage at my house is better than TMO so I'm stoked!

Ok so to recap:

1. I purchased an unlocked Moto E4 from BestBuy, pricematched to Amazon [amazon.com] for $99.99 + tax.
2. I purchased a SIM Card SIMGLW416Q from Twigby using this link [twigby.com] and selecting LG V20 as per ECartman's suggestion. $2.99 + tax.
3. I set up a Google Voice number, using a real phone (non MVNO) and then followed the guide to unlock the phone for $3.00.
4. I set a voicemail pin on the Legacy Google Voice page, to prepare for porting.
5. When SIM Card arrives, I will call the port in phone number, and attempt to port in and get free account for 1 year.

Since the list only includes the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Special Edition does that mean that the regular S7 Edge isn't eligible? The checker just said it was ineligible even though this is a Sprint phone that was just ported out of Sprint. Is there any way around this at all?

If I sign up for this with another eligible device, how long would it be before I can swap it out for this one? Thanks.
