Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

If you read the T&C you should also see:
Customers on BYOD 1YearFree plan are NOT eligible for Sprint Referral Rewards program.LMAO

So the only thing you should do is simply sign up and cross your finger and stop asking useless question based on T&C
Since you are already NOT eligible based on the T&C
Yeah, I noticed that too, lol. But you know wiki says its OK for this one year free plan to get$50.

So I was wondering if there are any DPs available about adding lines and getting referral bonuses after 7days?

I called promo line yesterday and opened the account using 1) a placeholder my wife's active Verizon iphone 5C, 2) ported my FP number, 3) SIM card I had.
I have the new BYOD account and logged in. Puzzled about several things.
  • The new Sprint BYOD account does not show any active device or service.
  • My FP account still shows my number that was to be ported out to Sprint!
1) How long should I wait for Sprint to activate the phone and service?

2) I have not installed the SIM in iPhone 5C because it is a placeholder and I do not want to mess up her verizon service. Do I need to 'activate' it by installing Sprint SIM?
In that case, will I be able to switch her iphone 5C back to Verizon SIM and Verizon service without affecting her phone number or service?

Thanks
I've read that freedom pop can take days try to call porting dept in wiki to see if they can push it through

Shouldn't affect Verizon service you are not porting Verizon number

I highly doubt that cricket wireless sell UNLOCKED phone
Cricket policy is to unlock phones on the unlimited $60 plan. It was unlocked the same day received.

May be Cricket staff steal it from ATT stocks...??? ConfusedConfusedConfused
Swappa and Tmobile IMEI checker says it's fine. Only the Sprint One Year deal site is reporting it as lost or stolen. I called Cricket and they didn't report it lost or stolen. It was paid in full and unlocked via the unlimited plan policy.

Using the Moto G5 Plus on this free plan - very happy with the call quality compared to T-Mobile but my data speeds are only upto 3Mbps tops. It says LTE connection on the phone and not sure if its some setting on the phone but its a brand new Amazon ads based Moto G5 plus bought on prime day..

Coverage map for my area shows best LTE coverage per their website.. Anyone aware of any tweak I need to do to get better LTE speeds?
Find a Sprint tower.😀 Better than 50 Mbps down for my g5

I finally pulled the trigger and went through credit check and placed order the BYOD Sim Kit.

Before I submit my personal info, I chatted with 2 different reps about if it is a soft inquiry or a hard one. One replied that Sprint don't do hard credit check, the other also confirmed it is a soft credit check which will have minimal impact on my credit score. After the order was submitted, I chatted with the 3rd rep, he said I have to contact the Sprint Credit Dept to know the detail of the credit check, he could not answer whether it is hard or soft and what impact on my credit record.

I ported my number from FP (sprint) to Verizon a few weeks ago. I then ported the number from Verizon to sprint for this deal. Number is working on Sprint without any problems . It is also still activated and working on FP. So it might take them a while to reflect it on FP website

You will need to activate on another eligible phone but it will be a lot of transfer to various sprint reps.

I had used my wife iPhone 6 as placeholder and my account do not show any line active. I tried to activate on the iPhone 6 that is att unlocked but no signal. After getting my moto G4 white listed (originally on ring plus) , I called to get it transfer to moto G4 before I got 1 line active and charged the $3 line fee/tax.

Since Verizon is cdma i believe you will have line conflict if you activate the 5c on sprint. It may try to update network settings and provision phone every time you put the icc SIM card in for data when changing SIM card. CDMA identified by phone meid number to associate device with a specific telephone number. Your wife may not be able to use the 5c with Verizon without calling into Verizon to transfer-associate phone back...I m not sure on this.

For Freedompop remember to log into my.freedompop.com to go into setting to get port out pin. If you use www.freedompop.com it is different. You cannot set port out pin here.

Thank you. I'll call the porting phone number.
I just want to make sure that it is not necessary to install the SIM in the placeholder Iphone 5C to 'jump start' or activate the account. i.e. I hope it is not waiting for ME to DO SOMETHING. I do not want to install SIM in 5C if that is not necessary.

Thanks for replying but it seems your phone was ATT 6. My phone is Verizon 5C. It is eligible so I do not see why I would need to activate 'another eligible phone'.

People who didn't activate phones on the line for several days eventually got their account suspended.
