Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I know this thread is dying but I just wanted to say that after being denied the referral credit, I actually received the $50 GC in the mail today. I think the account was opened 06/28. Not bad.

Can we add referral thing post opening of account?

Whether you got referral or credit union credits, does it depend on "when" you opened the lines or "when" you applied for the referral or credit union? For the 3 lines that you got referral and credit union credit for, did you opened those lines and applied for the credits before 6/30/17?

Sprint don't support VOLTE still.., and that's why voice quality is horrible on Sprint network ..(sounds like overcompressed and choppy mp3 audio file )
Not yet, but Sprint is now starting a partial implementation called Voice Plus on a few phone models. Initially, voice calls will be able to go over LTE but will not be fully prioritized on the network until a later stage.

And of course Wifi Calling (incoming and outgoing calls) is available on newer Sprint models for use where you have good wifi. I have gotten absolutely superb voice quality on some calls using Wifi Calling on my S8.

1. My line was opened/approved before 6/30. I applied for the credit union credit in early July. Does that mean I'm out of luck in getting the credit union credit (because I didn't apply for it before 6/30)? I never received any status email about the credit union thing. Who is the sender... Credit union or Sprint?

2. If the referral was done prior to 6/30, it should be eligible for referral credit, right? Anyone (who was eligible but got denied for referral credit) called Sprint and successfully got the referral credit? If so, which number to call? I tried search but couldn't find the answer.

email came from: Love My Credit Union Rewards [email protected]

Sprint already said free plans are not qualified for these in their ToC. So calling is not going to help.

I think so. But you may have had so many days to complete it. I had a friend refer me and it basically sends you a link where you can input your sprint number. I had the account created already though, because the only way to sign up was via phone order (the web wasn't acting right plus I needed a sim and the store sign ups were not for free accounts).

Can't speak for OP but I applied for the credit union bonus on 06/30 or something like that. My credit union account has been opened since 2010. The only reason stated for my denial was that my sprint account did not qualify. But, they also said that about the GC so, I'm keeping hope alive.

In case this helps anyone, I just ported a Moto E4 from GV to Sprint. Had several problems getting the SIM to work and even had Sprint ship me a different SIM (see this thread for more details) than the original "universal" SIM that they had sent.

Tried updating the cellular profile a few times and it failed. Also, I got the order confirmation instantly but it actually took 3 days before I got an email from Sprint saying the port was complete.

Still had the "invalid SIM" message and it would not go away even after repeated reboots and resetting the carrier profile. Finally talked to the Sprint porting center and they had me connect to Wi-fi first before resetting the carrier profile.

Worked like a charm, now the invalid SIM message has gone and can connect to LTE. Speeds are slower than T-mobile but acceptable.

Just an update for some people, I ordered a sprint sim card from Twigby wouldn't activate.
When called Sprint, they said the card is a lost / stolen card and they can't activate it.

Yes but NOT if you buy it on any plan, promotion, or discount.
In other words only if you pay cash and do not associate it with any plan.
You will still have to port in a NUMBER.

That's just a generic message that means nothing. It does not refer to the SIM. It just means something went wrong.

More likely they got the IMEI or ICCID entered wrong.

Now the normal sim is SIMOLW416Q but SIMGLW416Q should be equivalent.

Try it on the Ting checker and see what it says. You didn't activate it on Twigby did you or let them do so? If so you will have to have the ownership flag reset.

Anyway you'll need to talk to someone more knowledgeable at Sprint after first investigating more yourself.
