Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

It's the A1661 model that supports both GSM and CDMA. Was on CDMA in China.
Being compatible and being in their database are two different things. It might roam fine on Sprint but Sprint normally wants to see SPCS listed as the carrier also before it will activate. The Ting checker only works for some cases to change PLBL to SPCS but I doubt it is going to change China Mobile to SPCS.
You might be able to get Apple to get it added to the Sprint database with a lot of effort. Some people have succeeded.

Do not count on Sprint waiving/refunding first month charges.
I got in on SE deal, paid off, unlocked, ported out - all in less than 6 days. First month bill was already posted for about $59. Chatted with a CSR who said full amount will be credited since this was within '14 days guarantee'. I have written transcript.

When I tired to buy E4 from Sprint or BB, Sprint insists there is $59 balance due. I have spoken with finance / credit departments four times, with specific reference to CSR chat transcript. Spent hours with various supervisors. No one is able to remove the charges! They are still pending in my account. Not worth the frustration.

I will not do Sprint phone deals, or only if only if it makes sense after including the activation and first month charges. E4 did not make sense.
Really. If you are misusing the system then have some patience and deal with them properly. They will waive the charges if they told you. But dont misuse it again for E4 if you misused for SE. If you want to then have some patience and have some respect towards agents. They will not remove charges. They will credit the charges.
Just a suggestion Smilie
If nothing is working out then they probably caught this 14 day guarantee loophole

They need to whitelist the IMEI. Idk if they will or not.

That is the ownership flag and has nothing at all to do with a Chinese iPhone that has never been used on the Sprint network.

You might be able to get Apple to get it added to the Sprint database
Apple has nothing at all to do with Sprint's DMD and has no ability to whitelist a phone for use on Sprint.

OMG, will hate to go through the nightmare without knowing if I can encounter anyone in the corporate store knowledgeable enough to do this!

That will be great! Just ran through Ting BYOD IMEI check and it says compatible with both GSM and CDMA.
Do you know how long does it take to be added to Sprint's list after this?

Thanks!
It should work on sprint since it says it works with cdma. Not all iPhone 7s have cdma radios but yours does. Ting cdma service is sprint. I'm not exactly sure how long it takes. I just read about it.

Oh they do and have added/enabled Chinese iPhones (in cooperation with Sprint) for some people for use in the U.S..

It must be in the database already if Ting says it can be activated (otherwise how could they activate it). and must have some value in that field if so.

No, Apple has nothing to do with it. Sprint's DMD is entirely controlled by Sprint.

Sprint can do it but Apple has nothing to do with it. Apple reps can call Sprint and speak to Sprint reps on your behalf if you are in the Apple store but that is no different from you calling Sprint.

You are getting the whitelist and the ownership flag confused.

Who do you think gives the IMEI numbers to Sprint to put in the DMD in the first place? Apple. Apple is much more hands-on and proactive than other manufacturers. You're right that Apple can call Sprint from the store and also from their internal support channels. And they know exactly who to call. I have seen cases in forums where users have involved Apple usefully where they initially got nowhere with Sprint.

They are both factors. Or can be in different cases.

Just an update for some people, I ordered a sprint sim card from Twigby wouldn't activate.
When called Sprint, they said the card is a lost / stolen card and they can't activate it.

Using Moto E4 - SIMGLW416Q
Why would you buy somewhere else online, where you can go to Best Buy and buy an iPhone sim for $5 and an Android sim for $10. You are already saving a lot of money from the free 1 year promo. Not worth the hassle to save $3 or $7....
