I set up a free account today. Thank you all for the ton of info on the WIKI.

My issue is on the order confirmation page it says:

"Your account has been created. Your account PIN is shown on this page. "

But it's not on this page, the only number on this page is the order confirmation. Is the default pin my date of birth?

What a joke. Don't mind me. I am just complaining.

Bay area / Peninsula sprint stores will not honor sprint website $2.99 sim kit pricing and most stores or repair shops don't even carry the sim kit for Moto G4 plus.

And, of course their "reps" are totally unhelpful. Sad.

On top of that my "good" credit got an error on the crap sprint site - used both Edge and Firefox.

I wonder if it is even worth it for all the aggravation. Still can get the Boost sim kit for $10 at local BB.

Hope others don't have to go through this BS although it seems some have.

Order sprint sim on eBay for $6 or try going into Apple store and asking for a free sim.
Once you get the sim, you'll have to call in to activate and port in existing line (the only way to get this deal if you buy sprint sim externally). Good luck.

Just report back on this case.
I called Sprint customer care multiple times. I told them that the phone works on Ting wireless (as shown by the Ting BYOD check). Finally someone helpful enough helped me create a ticket for it to be added to Sprint database. Then two days after, I checked back with them. It's in! I was able to activate the phone just now. What a hassle but happy ending!

No, you weren't. The OP said his Chinese iPhone that he had never used on the Sprint network at all was denied, you brought up the ownership flag. The ownership flag doesn't exist for the Chinese iPhones since they aren't whitelisted and aren't in the DMD.

The problem is Sprint doesn't have the Chinese iPhones in their DMD so there can't be any ownership flag. The ownership flag is only an issue if the phone is whitelisted. Then it is in the DMD and will have an ownership flag. A Chinese iPhone won't have an ownership flag until it is entered into Sprint's DMD (aka the sprint whitelist).

What are you smoking again here? I got 2 SE 1 for $4,99/month and 1 for 2.99/month both have sprint financing and both paid off and THEY ARE ALL on the BYOD...

As the thread get longer, weird people start coming in and spreading FAKE news
Hey keung, I want to know the devices you mentioned to have brought from sprint financing. Are they from the same BYOD free year service account? or its a bought from Sprint regular plan account and then moved these devices to BYOD ? Can you please clarify, since i am in BYOD and the SE deals in BB seems tempting.

Both are bought from regular Sprint account (a new account). They are plenty of people doing that and someone got like 5 phones laugh out loud, go read the Bestbuy iPhone SE thread from the beginning of the July and there still one going on from end of July.

You cant use the BYOD account to get phone from bestbuy with 254 month payment discount, the only way to do it is to open a regular line.

After opening a new line on Sprint regular plan, did you port-out this new line to H2O or other SP...to terminate the new line first?

Then, you port-in a new line from H2O or whatever above SP (that you previously ported-out to)?

If you think this is a joke / BS you should just move on, they save you hundreds of dollars and you are trying to count pennies on how to save a few bucks on the SIM?

People like you are ridiculous LMAO

On a separate note related to AA advantage 20000 miles, my BYOD account still have not receive it (most likely never get it..)

But the regular account that I open to get the iPhone SE Bestbuy deal got it. I opened the Bestbuy's Sprint account on July 6 and the AA miles posted on July 12
I got 20000 miles and then 417 miles for first month bill, total 20417 miles, This at least worth a one way ticket to anywhere in the 48 states in US
