Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

To anyone who has received their bills, how much we should pay monthly for this free plan?
I know that there still would be taxes, regulatory fee, etc, although the plan itself is free.
In most cases $2 to $3 per line

If you are on Sprint postpaid, I would take the iPhone 7 to a corporate Sprint store and get them to whitelist it using their DNA2 tool and activate it on your current Sprint postpaid line.

Then once it is active and you make calls/texts/use data, I would log online and reactivate your old phone on the line using it's SIM card. If you can't do it online, you can call Sprint to do it. That will free up the iPhone 7 and its SIM card to be used for the free line.

Then port your number out of Sprint postpaid to a prepaid carrier using the iPhone 7. Obviously do not port to Sprint prepaid/Boost/VM or a Sprint MVNO. Then port your number back into Sprint postpaid on a free line using your iPhone 7 and its Sprint SIM card and your husband's SSN.

Others here have said you can do it during the same billing cycle. If that ends up being true then it won't matter when you port back in. But if it is a problem, you may have to wait for August 21st to port back into Sprint.
FYI, Ting's BYOD checker has DNA2 access built in. Run it through with FMiP off. If you get a good CDMA result, the phone has been successfully added to Sprint's whitelist. If you get GSM only, the phone is either not eligible, FMiP was on, it's not unlocked, or there's an unpaid balance on it.

Does anyone know which company Sprint uses for the credit check (Experian, Equifax, or Transunion)? I have mine locked and I'd like to know which account to unlock.

Thanks in advance.
Your in luck had to deal with this same situation today. When we were transferred to do the credit check they first wanted experian. After we unlocked it with experian the second time it wanted equifax so we had to unlock it on that and it worked. I guess it's a security measure the way they switch things up.

Thanks so much I really needed this info. I was trying to figure out why my Verizon iPhone wouldn't show up as elgiable. I haven't tried it with FMI off yet. Do you know if the iOS needs to be updated as well? Right now it's on iOS 9 with a jailbreak. It would be nice if I didn't have to update it to iOS 10 and lose it but will if I need to.

That's fine to do but if she goes to a Sprint corporate store and has it activated on her postpaid line, they will give her a SIM for free. Then she can reactivate her old phone/SIM on her postpaid line and the iP7 and its SIM can be used for the free line.

It's A1660 so they will whitelist it.

I am not the one you asked... I am just one of the few SDers...

Started t-mobile end of feb. with 2 lines when they offered the $150/line port in during the hookup promo. Added the 3rd line when 3rd line free started beginning of mar. Added lines 3-6, during $200/line port in credit, after mar. bill hit showing $40 free line. added line 7-8 with $75/line port in credit duriing 50% off 2 lines deal.

chatted with t-mobile about 3rd line free and got $240 credit for the year. (free line whent from $45 free to $25 free line, the $240 is the difference for the year... which I will have to contact them again next year).

total for last years bill was $145 before kickback... $95 for 6 lines before factoring in the $300+$600+$150. if you factor in the the $1050 over 12 months, that $95 becomes $7.50/mo for 6 lines, or $1.25/mo/line after tax for a year.

factoring in lines 7-8, they will be $10 before kickback, so $0/mo after tax or less if hookup is factored into those lines... that will make 8 lines $7.50/mo or less after tax.
Any ideas on a good phone deal currently? Looking for something for my parents. They are on pure talk and page plus currently but would like a data plan

Depending on what service is best, Sprint has free service for a year... activate with eligible phone than swap to any other sprint phone... like a old flip phone or any other sprint phone.

Mint has a good rate and uses t-mobile service, there is a thread about it.

Not really. It says S8+ Special Edition (which means Universal all-carrier model) on the list and mine is not special edition.
Also I have activated a Tribute HD that is not mentioned at all on the list.
In actual fact you can activate almost any Sprint phone (unless financed or discounted or prepaid).
There are no special restrictions built into the checker for this offer other than it must be true BYOD and not financed or discounted or prepaid. They are just trying to describe what models will activate on their standard activation engine. They explain that lower down. The list is just their standard BYOD guidance list (usually slightly out of date).

You can call them and they should be able to confirm that. Only call the number given in the wiki.
Hi I have a Verizon Samsung galaxy S7 which I paid off last year, do you think it will work on their network?

Is this for Android as well or just iOS?

it is not on the list and It appears from what I can find that it lacks the Sprint bands in any case, so the answer is no.

However if anyone has other information, by all means please post.

No, Sprint will not whitelist a Verizon Samsung device.

Sprint will not whitelist a Verizon Samsung device. As far as the bands go, if you flash the Sprint or unlocked firmware to a Verizon S7/S7E using ODIN, it will have all of Sprint's bands enabled. However, Sprint will not whitelist it.
