Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

So what happens if I try to activate on a "non-approved" phone? I have a Note (not on the list), but my wife has a G4. I used her G4 and ordered a sim card. However, what is stopping me from putting in my Galaxy Note and activating? Anyone know?

Thanks!

It's not like GSM services where you just pop in a sim. The phone's esn needs to be activated in the system first, and that needs to be an acceptable esn. The sim is only for LTE connection

So the ESN won't be acceptable, thus it wouldn't work in my Note. Correct?

From my understanding, you have to activate the service initially based on the IMEI you provided when signing up. Then, you can swap your phone for another, but it has to be Sprint approved and you have to provide the ESN/IMEI. You may or may not have to get a new card sent.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't make this too complicate. Here is your only solution. First activate the line with the G4. Then swap it with your Note by calling or via chat.

My first bill generated today and autopay discount is not shown on the bill.
Want to know when do we get the $5 autopay discount.
Is it reflected in the bill?

Requires a Sprint SIM card, eBill and Sprint AutoPay ($5/mo./line discount applied within two invoices)

You won't activate your device. Sprint is tricky on activation, that is why Sprint devices are cheaper than other variants.

I see the same thing. I came in from Cricket. They too had a $5 credit. The $5 was taken off the day before the bill hit. My guess is that it's the same with Sprint.

Yes. Voicemail works, but it's old school (no app). I get an Android alert and then clicking on it dials my own number. Then I get a voice mail interface much like the 1990s - press 1 to hear, press something else to delete. I read in the Sprint forums that a Visual Voicemail app is coming for unlocked devices to the Google Play store by the end of the year.

I'm perfectly OK with the old-style interface for the price.

By the way, I was one of those who got a "credit check" error when I tried to sign up online. (It was because I used to have a Sprint account years ago.)

So I called that special 866-782-8777 number (which goes to the Philippines and customer service agents who are specializing in this offer!)

They were very nice, helpful, and efficient! ... They 3-way called the credit department and everything got done quite quickly and easily (especially since I had bought a sim card from a local Sprint Store).

How did you do this? I finally found the sim I needed, but they would not sell it to me without activating it. Should I have opened the account over the phone first? I ended up calling in, doing the credit check 3 way call (it was for my dad, I forgot I was going to have to answer questions lol), and ordering a sim.

I should get it today and will call in to activate.

The agent on the phone said to "buy a sim card at the store, but DON'T let them activate it ... Call back in to activate it."

And I just told the guy at the store the truth.
