Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

The free 1-year BYOD plan can only be signed up either online or over the phone by calling that specific promo number, 866-782-8777.

You cannot sign up for the free plan in the store. Stores only offer paid plans, but you can set up you account (only) first in the store.

Once you set up the account in the store, call the promo number to sign up and activate your eligible phones and SIM's for the free one-year plan.
if i were you i would just do everything using telesales rep. setting up account in the store or wherever may confuse Sprint. just call the 866 # and set up everything there. make sure you have all the information they need like your current carrier, account name and pin number and Sprint sim cards and the phones that you want to activate. be prepared, and once the process is done verify that they put you on the right plan. ask the rep what plan they put you in. let them give you the information to make sure it is right. it usually takes 30 minutes to a couple of hours so be prepared.

My sim card will be arriving today. I sign up using the web and pay for the sim and shipping. Once i receive the sim card, it should work right away or do i need to call 866-782-8777 first? My old account is with H20, during the web checkout, it didnt ask for port in information? Also my H20 account has no credit, will not matter? I port to h20 pay 2 go using the sim card but haven't added any funds.
as long as you have your h20 account number and pin you should be good to go. call soonest. and verify that they put you in the right plan.

Thanks for the response.

I was responding to getdealsonline's additional questions because he was asked by Sprint's Credit Dept. to go to a Sprint corporate store to have his identity verified. He has to set up his account (and has # of lines approved) at the store.

Your advice is excellent and most appropriate for most people who do not have to have their identity verified (at Sprint's request) in the store.

I really regret to switch to Sprint. I tried to activate the 2nd line online and the representative is stupid enough to create a regular plan with a temporary number and saying i can merge with the 1st line later.

Yesterday I spent 2 hours with different Sprint people on how to convert the regular line to 1-year-free line and lots of people have no clue how to do it and what it is.

1. One representative told me the promotion is over long time ago, keep asking me where I got the promotion.

2. A few representative asked me where I activated the line. Gosh, how can I know the department I chatted with.

3. After a few days and 5 hours+ talking to Sprint, I am still having two lines with two different plans.

4. For my 1st line, Spring tried to charge $39 for a sim card that works with iPhone when I tried to switch from android to apple.

I really regret my decision to try the deal. Spring has never changed since I left 5 years ago. If you think tmobile is bad, the Sprint is 10x worse.

Damn feel so sorry for you, I know it's frustrating. There are some people who had a really smooth transition. Just depends on which rep you get.

Lesson for everyone is...make sure you do your homework and make sure you ask the rep if they know about this 1 year free promo and let them tell you about it. If their information is correct, proceed with caution and verify the results. Make sure you are always on the same boat. Verify and confirm before committing. Let them spell the program again and again.

The representative who created the regular plan for me, she did it without asking my permission and told me she did it after done. I told her immediately, "gosh, I would see a lot of trouble...". Unfortunately, I am correct.

I am in SF Bay area. The voice quality of my 3 Sprint phones (Iphone 6s plus, 2 Iphone 5s) is unbearable. As reported by many others, the voice is choppy and robotic. Tried Hangout and it did not work very well when the coverage/data is slow.

Is there any other alternative? HD voice is only available for S8, I have no intention to throw pretty dollar for a phone usable for Sprint only. Man, it is very frustrated.

I have a few lines/phones including: Iphone 6s plus , ip7, ip5, lg g5, lg g6

Never had issue with voice quality.

Data, on the other hand, can be slow , at times, but works for what i need/what i pay per month

Try restoring the phone...

I can't say because I don't live in that area but where I live I get between 3 to 40mbps data and voice quality on iPhone SE is like you're in a tin can. But I don't have any problems with any other android phones like the Pixel, Moto G5 Plus, Sprint's LG G6, their Galaxy Emerge J3 and so on. Best Buy right now has a deal for a Moto G5 Plus, search for it on here. That phone is unlocked and can be used in any carriers. Great after a year with Sprint and their prices will not be that competitive anymore. If you decide to go with an Android phone you have to get a compatible sim. Best Buy also sells those sim. Good luck!

Too bad but you didn't read the thread before signing up. You either need to order sims and sign up online thru promo link(no representative involved) or call special promo number and sign up for free plan. The regular telesales can't help you.

YMMV for sure. I had t-mobile and I had poor reception in my house, would have to go outside all the time to talk on the phone. Then moved to AT&T Prepaid and I could hear everyone fine but people on the other end said my voice would sound choppy and cut out all the time. Now I'm on Sprint since last night, we'll see how it goes this goes. I'm in the Los Angeles area. If my voice calls are poor with Sprint then the problem s definitely my iPhone 6 Plus. I have dropped it more than a few times. All that said having free cell service is pretty sweet.

I really agree with this post by edog.
Most of the time , people do not bother learning of the deal.

"I am too lazy to read...tell me what to do.." ..again...

Then screw up

Then trash whatever deal they are trying to do.

I see it all the time.
Here....on the xfinity mobile deal...etc
