I just signed up but only asked for imei and my google number. There was no place for pin. Was the process like that for you?
You first order Sprint SIM card, which will be overnight shipped to you. Upon receiving SIM, when you try to activate your line, the system will ask you port-in info,

Does anyone know if I can replace my Google Voice number that I ported to Sprint with my real TMobile number after a certain time if I like the service or would the second port cancel the deal?
As far as I know, No. You cannot port-in after port-in. But, why port-in your REAL #? Even you like Sprint service, port-to Google Voice, then you have absolute control of your #.

Just interested what plan are you on
I'm on the old T-Mobile Simple Choice Unlimited Family Plan (4 lines for $120, which started out with 2.5 GB each but got upgraded to 10 GB each line in 2015). Then in Sept 2016, they upgraded me to the unlimited 4G data plan through February 2019 right before they debuted the T-Mobile ONE data streaming and hotspot streaming limitations. I had 10 lines at the time($20 each additional line for lines 5-10). My bill is $240 plus around $50 tax. There is a glitch in the bill, which only adds 9 out of 10 of the lines up online, so I thought I was only paying around $260 total with the remaining balance due to device EIP, but it turns out I was really paying $30 more all this time(not a big deal).

As a single person, it's a lot, and if anyone of my family or friends cared about tethering and HD streaming, it would probably be a better deal than it sounds. But I would switch them to the Sprint plans for the year in a heart beat and then switch to the T-Mobile One or Total Wireless family plans after that if I cared enough. I found it made more sense to focus my energy on business than spend an hour a day for a few weeks worrying about if my credits were gonna appear or bills were right. But if you can take the stress of doing all the trade ins and switching each year on up to 10 lines, it's probably worth it to save a few thousand dollars(if you sell 10 new iPhones each year). You'll probably look to make $5000 each year with 10 lines. There are people that get friends and family to sign up for 5 lines each year come launch time and then cancel either ruining their credit or paying it off but still making the money off the inflated profits right after the new iPhone launch.

You can port in a number twice(a port is simply the act of transferring a number between two companies), but I'm wondering if anyone has done this and retained the deal(i.e. they've started with a dummy number and then liked the service so much that they ported their real number).

That is BS. Telesales tried to upsale Total Protection Plan for the commission. Even worse, I had 1 line was added TPP without my permission.

I have swapped phone for all my 3 lines, no problem whatsoever. Actually, if you have VZW Iphone 5c/ts, I **STRONLY** suggest swapping a Sprint-branded phone. VZW Iphone 5c/5s has only band #25, lack #26 and #41.
You can have all the bands or motley crue band and still slow on my se. Its free though.

off topic...but...i suspended my 3 lines on a regular paid sprint account. now i try to log online and "for security reasons" sprint wants to text the codes to my phone. but my phones are on seasonal standby so it is not working. chatted with csr and they don't have a clue on how i can log back in. finally they say i need to have 1 line on. I am paying $8 a month for each line on standby. i dont want to waste my time to wait to chat to a rep or go to a store just to see what is going on in my account. anybody know any solution besides me having 1 line working?

From reading this thread people can SWAP phones right away/couple of days. I have a S6 unlocked (original from Sprint) on Tello but I use a google number.

Can I use a "placeholder" IMEI (iphone from the old R+ days) to sign up for this deal? I do not have the phone, just the IMEI number.

The IMEI and google phone number say it's eligible on the Sprint website. It says they would ship a SIM card ($2.99 +$10).

Would I actually need access to the physical iphone before I swap with my current S6 phone?

Any issues I should be aware of since I'll get an iphone SIM and then swap with a Samsung S6, which has a different SIM?
Quote from SkyKing02 :
i would like to know too. I was told last night, you need to use the same phone for 120 days before you can swap. if you do it earlier, then you won't be on the free plan anymore.
FYI, I signed up for 3 lines, all of them with placeholder IMEIs (unlocked compatible phones, but in use outside the country with family members). The lines ported over and activated just fine. About 20 days in, I finally found a colleagues VZ iPhone and was able to swap one placeholder IMEI out and get that phone activated.

So, yes you can sign up with placeholder IMEI and yes, you can swap phones almost immediately after everything is activated to another compatible phone, with chat rep's help. But do keep in mind that others have reported that your account can get suspended if there is zero usage. I have been able to get around that by borrowing my above-mentioned colleagues phone for 10-15 minutes once or twice each month and logging a little bit of data and call activity.

One prior poster said they had done it with no problem. I did not save a link.

Another way, at least while the deal continues, may be, just port in the number on an additional line and then do some number swaps if needed, then remove the original line.

I have A1687 iPhone (6S plus) which has Sprint compatable bands but the Sprint phone checker is saying it's incompatible. How can I get past this.

This is awesome. Just what I wanted to know. I'm not worried about the inactivity since I'll use it. I just didn't want to buy an iphone for the sole purpose of signing up for this deal. I just signed up with placeholder iphone and will swap to my current S6 asap. Thanks and repped.

Yes don't forget to sign up for the 25,000 bonus miles for American Airlines. I did but will have to wait until Oct 2nd to see if it went through. That's what my confirmation page said after I signed up. I did preregistar last night before activating my account today. Not sure if that will make any difference.

Can we use the 6 month Tidal subscription under the free year plan? I haven't tried it yet since I didn't want to screw anything up on my account.

I had Sprint for a little over a year and it was one of the most painful cell phone experiences I've ever had. I'm in NYC so there was no excuse for such crappy service and speeds.

This is honestly a very bold attempt from Sprint but it's not even worth it for free unless you're ok with crappy cell phone service and enjoying the ignorance is bliss thing.
