Another quick question - If I go ahead and order the SIM cards - does my phone number immediately port to the new sim card? Basically would I be without a phone from submitting until I install in the new phones? Or does it wait until I physically install the SIM cards in the phone?
Your service remains with old carrier until you activate Sprint. Don't worry. Do it

Iphone 8 (or 7s whatever it is called) is coming.I am wondering whether anyone was able to add a new line by purchasing the full price phone? When I tried, only plan was available is full-price Unlimited Freedom Line. Even worse, it would convert my all lines from Free BYOD to $160 a month paid plan.
You can't add a line for free, you can add a line through telesales, but need to port a number. I'm planning to get the next iphone (whatever it's going to be called) directly from apple and have Sprint switch service to it.

Be prepared for a hassle if your credit card address is different from your home address (PO BOX for billing). This is one of those idiot companies that say the credit card and home address must match. The CS rep said you have to change it. I didn't have to do any of that with Verizon and Tmobile.

If using the past as indicator, Apple normally does not offer SIM-Free version of Iphone at launch. As matter of fact, probably not months. For existing BYOD lines, no upgrade is allowed until 3 months passes even I am willing to pay full price. System only allowed me for adding new line. According to you, now it is dead-end too :-(

Well, I am able to make it to the cart with a Sprint iPhone 7 by doing the following: Apple Store--> iPhone 7--> Sprint--> Other payment options (Select Apple Pay, 0% financing through Apple or pay full price)--> enter ineligible phone and pin.

looks like this route works, but Sprint still wants their 30 bucks for upgrading even if you select the full price option.

Anyone have issues creating a MySprint account after successfully porting? My number ported over and the everything with service seems fine. When I go to create my account, it says my number isn't active or cancelled.

Received my first full bill (not single 1 day bill), for past month (Aug) and next month (Sep to Oct). $5 AutoPay discount was not applied. Chatted with CSR, she refused to credit $30 back to bill. She claimed AutoPay discount for last 2 months would be credited in the next bill. She would not budge even I insisted.

Should I trust her and sit tight, or, chat/talk to another CSR to test my luck?

I would talk to to another CSR. After my one year free, I will NEVER go use Sprint again. They are the worst company ever! I would drop all my lines right now, but I like having unlimited data and I already got a credit hit from it.

I had three lines go smoothly with the correct billing. My 4th line had issues porting, so they send me to the porting department. She was able to get it through, but she apologized for putting me on the $100 a month plan and not the Unlimited plan. She assured me that it would be put on the correct plan. A week later I called about it and they said they would email their supervisor about it. A few days later they said they would email their supervisor and call me, they never did. A few more days later they said they would call me back, they never did. Just yesterday, I thought I was making some progress and I was disconnected! I tried again today and they said that it will switch. I am not holding my breath! I purposely have not used this line as I know they will want to charge me for it. This is on my AMEX card, so I will get my money back, but they will probably cancel the rest of my lines.

Really shady of them to put me on the most expensive plan, knowing that I had the other free plans in my account, especially when I called telesales and they knew which plan I was trying to get. Prior to this, I would have recommended Sprint to other people, but not worth the headaches, even for almost free service!

Easiest/cheapest/quickest carrier to port to then back to sprint if you are already a sprint customer? I already have a line set up with free service for family and wanted to add myself onto the account but I'm already a postpaid sprint customer. Don't want to lose my number. Thanks!
T-Mobile prepaid is. You can get a sim on amazon for $10. You don't even need to fund the account.

is anybody from first batch of June, able to get his/her upgrade date to 1-Oct ?
Asking considering new iPhones to be launched tomorrow...
My upgrade date is in 2019... whereas it was supposed to be eligible after 90 days..right

Wow just drove literally throughout the state of FL. (With exception of the panhandle) 4GLTE 99% of the time. Hooray Sprint!
Some guy was doing Periscope stream from Marco island during Irma's eyewall passage using Sprint. Although probably not many others using that tower.
Talks about sprint at 16:40-17:10. Oops but then service goes out near end.

I'm seeing the same. I think it must have been easier in their system to lock everyone from upgrading for 2 years then they will do some type of batch update on the 1st. Not sure if this makes sense, but that's what I'm hoping
