Which is exactly why a deal that originally ended in June, then revived, and then again. . .and now yet another time. . .should have its own new thread. It's much easier to just link the former posts(for sticky info purposes etc) to a new thread, than try and make everything "current and correct" from months ago, in this subsequent round. . .
never ended...

I have this on my i6+... but would like to swap it to an old sprint galaxy s4 that I found on the street(which is unlocked btw)...this to take advantage of the $300 trade in from TMO for a new i8+... my question is ...can I swap the service to the sprint s4?
Yes as long as the person that lost it didn't report it lost or stolen. Maybe you can find matchnbpm's lost S8 on the street next.

Really you can activate any Sprint postpaid device in the first place without this swapping stuff. The eligible list is not exhaustive.
Quote from comintel :
I have activated 3 Sprint phones not on the list.
So any phone that supports Sprint's frequencies can be activated? I'd like to activate a VZW Lumia

Any subsidy-free Sprint postpaid phone, at least if purchased at full price.
Just to confirm, I can buy any Sprint phone (with clean ESN) to activate on this plan? Thanks.

Any Sprint POSTPAID phone that you own outright free and clear (not phones on Sprint-sponsored/ subsidized offers).

Of course you still have to port in a number as well, which does not need to have any prior relationship to the phone.

By the way, I just do it tersely over the phone when giving them the IMEI. I do not ask questions. Just say "Yes" when they ask back "Is that a Kyocera Dura X" or whatever. I would not start apologizing for it. It is perfectly fine with them but there is no point looking for trouble.

I've been on sprint network since april, and boy is there voice network terrible (south suburbs of chicago), however their 4g network is superb, likely because of the low subscription rate from the voice network. I went into a sprint store and asked them if I could migrate my plan from my s8+ to a sun dongle as I'm past the supposed 4 month restriction if that even existed. I think the store tech was wrong, but he said they simply can't do that at the store and I have to do it online. The online tool is very particular about what imei it will accept even for devices that support the LTE bands required, so I'm going to try another store. Is there a secret password or something I need to say to them to let me switch devices?

If you're on the free plan, do not let any store touch the plan or they will quite often accidentally switch it to a paid plan.

I do not think you are on the free plan though....

Try using the online chat for switching devices it worked quick and easy. When I tried it over the phone it took like a hour with different reps.

If I understand correctly, GV number can be ported too.

Quick questions to you great helpful people.

I get my Sprint note 8 today from Samsung.
I received my BYOD sims card from sprint last week but have not activate it because I do not have an eligible device. Will my note 8 work to activate?

Also, I have a Tmobile prepaid sim card that I bought and added $10 to just for this deal. I will be using this to port over to sprint. Is the phone number the account number?

Does anyone have a good Sprint Upgrade Map?

I m in State College PA and just updated my 6s to iOS 11.

Today I was in walmart and noticed I have 4 bars worth of signal. I said to myself, no freakin way! Took it off wifi and I had strong signal! Did a speedtest with ookla and the down speed was 79.66mbps went two miles down the road to do a bank run and the next test was 47.76mbps.

Of course the signal was always stronger up on the north end of town due to the tower placeent but I never had this kind of speed before.

FYI to everyone
