I heard with this deal, there's a 120 day wait period before swaps are allowed. Also you can't just put the Sim in the other phone. The phone has to be registered.

Bummer with getting wrong plan on 1 line.
For speed try carrier reset(##25327#,call) then service update(##873283#,call)
Cool tip thanks. The speed appears better on the iPhone but I suspect it's due to less congestion at 4-5am EST.

Still haven't fixed the wrong plan issue. Need to call back when they open today. It closed while on the phone yesterday Frown

yeah i paid 3x $3 to unlock. was I wrong to say that the they were 3 different accounts and each phone # is the respective account number (for example 555-555-5555) with my voicemail PIN?

they also asked what service provider so i said google

Update: I finally got all 3 lines ported over, 2 hours later. Still on the phone with them because they activated the wrong # on the wrong device so now need to do a swap.
Update 2: They are saying they can't do a swap because one of the lines has a $45 2GB plan. WTF?

P.S. My speed is 0.3DL and 0.4UL This is in north NJ.. My ATT device gets 15DL/10UL and Verizon gets 35DL/25UL.
I have ported 2GV numbers and 2 TMo numbers. GV takes time. I ensured order for each number is done separately. Asked them to send the order# to my email. Re-verified the plan. The port fails we have to call the after few hours to number listed against the porting order (tracking) to get them to port successfully in a day.
For wrong plan port out the line with wrong planI think would be best, not sure how others have dealt with that. I would try and get the plan immediately corrected call 866-782-8777 number where u placed the order. Try calling multiple times till someone does the switch for you. Create online account to check/ use sprint app to verify if plan is correct.

Your second point re sims is correct.

Your first point is not (or more exactly is a matter of definition of terms). The restriction applies only to upgrades to Sprint special offers made through Sales. Swaps made through technical support to another byod phone you already own need to be made through tech. support only and are unrestricted from day one. Do not ask Sales about this (upgrades are all they know and care about). Do it via tech. support chat.

I'm going to try to jump on this deal but a few pages ago people talked about how they got charged $500 and had to go through disputes. Is that still happening?
Is this free for 12 months and than you can cancel?
Im just going to use it as a spare line and don't foresee extending. Thanks!

Exactly what you say. I have swapped 4 phones on my line so far. No issues at all. All you need to do is chat with Sprint and tell them you would like to do ESN swap on your line . It just takes a few mins and has no effect on your plan.

It will often happen if you go to a store, which many do despite the fact that this offer is not offered in stores.

It will not happen if you call the number given in the wiki and ask for the free byod program.
At the end of the call, they will list the terms of what you are agreeing to and ask if they are correct. If these do not say $5 a month with $5 discount for autopay, do not say Yes!

I have never even had any ambiguity come up on 3 lines, done one at a time, It is extremely unlikely that it would.

If there ever is a problem, it is not necessary to dispute. Sprint has a 15 day satisfaction guarantee.

Of course you can cancel at any time.

Thank you for the clarification, repped!

Wouldn't take my nexus 5 via online but the phone rep was very helpful.

My ringplus sprint sim from last year won't work so they will send out another one and have activated the account.

Ended up using a prepaid att line for the port, great deal!

3 questions:

1) After you establish a line(s), do additional lines still need to be ports, or can they be "new" numbers
2) Any big-box retailer (preferably NOT Best Buy) where I can walk in and buy a compatible phone?
3) Where/how do I get the T mobile prepaid # for $3?

TIA :-)
