I can see my account/ plan info as "$5/line/mo up to 5 lines. (Free with AutoPay until 9/30/19)" its almost 23 months. Is it for everyone?
Anyone who has registered a new account on or after Nov. 1st, please go to My Sprint and check your 'until date' of savings' as follows and report it back:

My sprint/dashboard, manage plan, +see details, shows 'until date' of savings.

Useful to see if the above is an outlier or not!

Who cares? Let it go. You been on this shit for days.
You either get a year free or if lucky a little longer. Either way it's a good deal.
Relax.

I already have it. It's a GREAT deal! :-) Just curious. Not a big issue at all!
(BTW, if what was reported is true, it's NOT "a little longer", it's close to 2 years).
Someone needs to buy you a cookie! worship

Nobody knows because nobody has reported doing it with a delay like that. I think some have said they may set up the account on the initial sim request. I doubt they set up the plan date also at that time but if you call they should be able to tell you. You might have to just do it if it looks promising and then just abort/cancel and start over with a different SSN if things turn out the wrong way. Often, there is no way to be sure ahead of time on unusual cases like that.
Very true. But if there is any chance of getting the earlier date vs. the later date, it's probably better to just call in and do it. I'd rather not burn a SSN on this plan if I don't need to. What if it's still being offered 6-12 months from now? That extra SSN would come in handy for setting up a new account then Wink

I just wanna give a HUGE thanks to the OP and everyone on this thread!
I signed up online on 10/31 after a late discovery of this thread. Received the SIM card yesterday and activated online this morning and it was flawless and painless the port of my number from tmobile to sprint took under 5 minutes!
Also when I check my discount expiration it shows I have "free" service through 1/31/19! 15 months!! Epic freaking deal here!

perhaps u are confusing number change with phone change

u initially asked for number change

the response was appropriate

perhaps u ment phone change

the 120 days restriction is on being eligible to upgrade ypur phone through sprint

there is no restriction on changing phone number
Based on one or two reports earlier, I don't think it is actually an enforced restriction, but I do remember that the terms they read you over the phone when you sign up specifically include not being able to port in a new number on top of those lines for 120 days -- same as the upgrade restriction. I don't think the port department cares, though, and no one has seen any ill effects of doing so.

Thanks for the info. So you originally signed up under the deal that expired 10/31/18, but since you activated 11/2 you got the terms that were in place then (expiration 1/31/19). That's very helpful to know. Thanks!

My phone was not eligible. Nexus 5x on Republic Wireless. I thought Republic was a T-Mobile MVNO. Advice?

Cannot transfer a phone (or number) from a Sprint MVNO. Need to cancel the account, make sure the phone is free and clear of obligation, and possibly change the flag.

I called Sprint and they manually added my IMEI as eligible; it took 20 minutes. I haven't gone any further at this point, will weigh options.

Taxes/fees are based on the Primary address, not the billing address and you can't change it yourself. See below. Message under "My Address" at this link [sprint.com]

Verizon has a fee/tax estimator [verizonwireless.com]. Don't know how accurate it is, especially for Sprint

Thanks for that info, it is actually user modifiable.
So does that mean, newly entered ZIP will be used for tax calculations ?

The wait time is 45 days so your wife's SSN Number IS CLEAR and can qualify for this promo— subject to credits approval/worthiness.

BUT you can't use any phone number that has been in Sprint's system, including Sprint's MVNO partners, for 45 days. So you can't just use your current Sprint Number with your wife's SSN because your number is still in the system (for 45 days after you port out).

What I would suggest is porting out to Google Voice. Then set up a rubbish prepaid AT&T account and immediately port that AT&T Number into Sprint for the BYOD Free Year using your wife's SSN.

(The AT&T Number is just a "dummy" place holder number to wait out the 45 days for your own old Sprint number to clear.)

Then set up Google Voice to forward all calls to the dummy AT&T Number once you port the AT&T Number to Sprint so you don't have to deal with giving out and juggling two numbers.

Once the 45 days has gone by with your old Sprint number on Google Voice, pay $3 to have Google Voice open your number to porting, call up Sprint and have them port out your old number on top of and a replacement for that backup AT&T Number. Follow?

Or option 2 is to port out your current number with Sprint to a non-Sprint carrier, wait 45 days then try to sign up all over again using your SSN or your wife's.

Good luck. Smilie
how do you setup a dummy atnt number for cheap?
