I know Sprint is really after Verizon customers.
Does Sprint allow you to port a number from Verizon pre-paid?
If so, I'd like to port my # from Metro PCS to VZ pre-paid for 1 month, buy a Moto E4 or G4 on ebay, then port to Sprint.
Does this plan sound like it'll work?
Thanks --
You can go directly from Metro PCS. They enlarged it right from the start to accept ports from any other carrier, postpaid or prepaid.

Everybody is porting from all over.

You need to call Sprint's Porting Dept to check - they do not mind at all..1-877-688-1969
thanks... do you know their hours of work?
i am not able to connect to this number at this time

edit:

i found another number and connected to their port dept...
they told as it is a landline number from bandwidth ( i know GV uses bandwidth's services but did not know it is landline numberEEK!)... so it will be activated on monday as it takes multiple days for landline number porting... EEK!

Yes they treat landline and VOIP numbers the same and they are slow and hard to port.
GV numbers are the best from the point of view of cost but the worst for ease of port. If it were a TMobile or AT&T prepaid number they would do it instantly.

Instant port with T-Mobile and Ting. Freedompop was instantly approved for port but for some reason took 3 business days to port. Call Sprint's porting department to check when there's a problem (877) 503-3269.

FreedomPop also uses VOIP numbers from the same provider as Google Voice (bandwidth.com) so ports are equally slow. Bandwith.com does adhere to the normal porting standards because theirs are not (true) cellular numbers (until after you port them in Sprint).

Thanks for the reply. I went back 10-15 pages, and didn't see anything pertaining to Metro. My current phone is the LG K20+ , which isn't eligible. If I buy an unlocked Moto E or G on ebay, add it to Metro then port to Sprint, will Sprint allow that phone?

It is not specific to Metro.
Ports from ANYWHERE are allowed (except within Sprint and maybe from its mvno's).
The issue of which Moto phones can be ported in and are compatible is complex and I will leave it to others to comment on.

I am currently a Tello customer using a Spring branded Galaxy S7. Will following be possible?
1. Port out of Tello to a Tmobile mvno temporarily. Use a spare Moto G4 for this.
2. Port onto this Spring plan and using the Galaxy S7 again

Thanks in advance

Yes unless it was sold initially for use on Sprint Prepaid/Boost or has a balance owing..

But ONLY AFTER you get LiterallyUnlimited to flip the ownnership flag from PLBL to SPCS.

This can only be done after you take it off Tello.

Until you flip the flag it will fail the eligibilty check (and cannot be swapped on either)..

It would have been easier to answer if you had given the entire history of the phone.

Assuming my Sprint LG G6 on Mintsim won't work? What's the cheapest way to get this deal? Are added line free too?

If it is a postpaid-origin Sprint LG G6 it can work subject to the caveats in my prior post above.

What does the eligibility checker say for the IMEI?
