How long it takes to see the credit applied to the account? I cancelled protection plan about 2 weeks ago and still see the charge on my bill. Bill is due in a week....any ideas? should I call? or still wait?
The charge will always be there. What you need to look for is a credit in an equal amount elsewhere on the account (not on the existing bill which is probably closed out by now).

I know you realize this but am just being sure.

It should not take that long. I would do Billing chat now. They should credit it for you. You get a written transcript by email afterward that way.

Hi,

my wife was trying to activate it and switch from Tmobile. They keep insisting that she has to buy phone insurance for $13 a month, which we don't want. Did anyone else have this issue?

I just called and nothing was said about protection. Also calling is much better $10 for all the sims I needed VS paying $3 for each plus $10.

I would chat.
Calling is ok too but I would not call the 8777 number.
You want Billing and not Sales.

They push that hard. It is optional. Individual reps are under pressure to make sales and get creative.
Just say no no no.
If you give in, that's understandable - just call regular customer support /BILLING immediately after activating (do not call back to the 8777 Telesales number again) and cancel it the same day so as not to have to it have it appear on the bill in the first place.

What I say when they insist is:
"I do not want it and if you put it on I will call Billing immediatelty after this call and cancel it."

That convinces them for me.

Fine - go to BILLING CHAT on the web and cancel it.
Do not call back Sales (the 8777 number) for this because they do not deal with cancellations or billing issues.

The device protection plan is always optional on all plans and can always be cancelled at any time anyway.

I agree it is completely unacceptable that quite a few (not all) of their telesales staff mislead customers into thinking it is mandatory.

Fortunately, it is relatively easy to fix. Cancel and request refund by contacting the Billing or Customer Service departments within a day and it will not appear on the bill at all.

Cancel and request refund at a later date by contacting the Billing or Customer Service departments and they will issue a credit.

I finally got my wife's line ported over. They tried to stick me with a $13/month insurance charge but I insisted I didn't want it. Ill have to look at my account and make sure I wasn't charged.

They also told me they were sending me a free LG 8" tab. Then casually tried to say it would cost me $25/month for a data plan for it. I told them I'd take it if I could just use it on Wi-Fi for free but no go. Anyway, speed is good here at my home. 27 down and 12 up. That's better than my Verizon and obviously better than cricket.

Nope. Not necessary. Hang up and call again to get a different rep. It's always ymmv. One rep didn't even want to do anything unless I had a Sim card already. Called again. Upon creating my account, the rep aggressively pushed a free tablet with some kind of monthly service to me and I kept saying no. Account was established w/o extras

I called in today to switch, but they didn't approve me even though my credit is stellar. I think it was one of the verification questions the credit person asked me. They said I could reapply in 60 days.

Per this site https://www.google.com/googlevoice/sprint/ I should be able to create a GV. I wasn't able to. Created a GV # and linked my Sprint #. Went to the legacy page and clicked on "check eligibility for Sprint integration" Next to my Sprint # and couldn't activate it. Both Google (surprisingly) and Sprint were unhelpful. What can I do?
