Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Well contacting account services without having sprint number is a hassle. Any best method to contact them after porting out?
Yes - call 888-211-4747 and your (former) account number works fine at the prompts instead of a phone number.

I was finally delighted when I called and the woman answered "Thanks for calling Sprint about your FORMER Sprint account" because that phrasing told me I had succeeded in getting it closed and that it was so recorded in their computer system!

(In the prior week I had struggled to get the account closed because there was a Magic Box which was still on the account even after I sent it back and they were saying "wait for the end of your billing cycle." Finally I came up with the idea of porting out the "number" of the Magic Box which actually worked after a 3 day delay during which they must have puzzled over it).

Right now we are tight against 45 days before the end of March, which could be a potential end date although I suspect it will still continue into April.

Which carrier has easy port out process and are you porting to T-mobile?

I do not know who is best. I ported out to a small Verizon mvno which did not work out, then to Teltik which was a 3-day nightmare with no service because of Teltik incompetence (though they did try hard).

Most here recommend T-Mobile. It depends what plan you want etc. for the 45 days.

Some options to port out and park your tel # also include Sideline and PagePlusCellular.

Sideline is free to port in/out your #.
More here:
https://support.sideline.com/hc/en-us/articles/213884283-Android-Do-I-have-to-pay-to-port-out-my-num... [sideline.com]

PPC works only if you have an older Non-4G LTE Verizon phone, only 3G capable like a flip phone and it costs $10 for 120 days:
https://www.pagepluscellular.com/...ndard-pin/

AT&T is also an option when you buy the Sim package for 99 cents and with it you get a phone # and it can cost $10 for 30 days.
This is a great way to get into the Sprint BYOD offer IF you don't have a tel. # to port in, (but you have the approved device).
It may not be necessary to add any funds to the card before you port the # out so this costs only 99 cents+tax, but the minimum is $10.
https://www.att.com/cellphones/pr...sku7420309

T-Mobile costs $10+tax for the Sim and you get a # and 30 mins or 30 texts or a 30 combo. I think the card lasts for 3 months but you must double check this and the minimum $ amount to add.
Like AT&T this is a great way to get into the Sprint BYOD offer IF you don't have a tel. # to port in, (but you have the approved device).
https://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.c...0Q7NYG9547

Of course there are the other ways mentioned in this thread like H2O, Ting, Tello, etc., etc.
It all depends on how much you need to use your # during the port in/out period and how much you want to spend.
Can you just park the # for 45 days or so with minimal or no use or do you need a lot of use of the #, mins/texts/data?

I can't just park it because it's my primary number and I'm trying to move it to ting and got a new problem. Sprint is saying device is not flagged but it's failing ting FEC.

Usually sprint devices will work on sprint if that device is not associated with an active sprint account.

I tried last Fall to start Sprint's free service, ran into lot's of glitches, never activate service, and still getting a monthly bill with it showing a zero balance. Arg, such incompetence.

Can I port my Google Voice number on to it or do I need to first sign up with Ting/mint/H2O and then port after a day?

Thanks. can the swap be done through online chat or do I need to call 866-782-8777 ? I believe the sim Part is "SIMOLW416C" which I do not have in hand and thinking of calling the above no. to order.

Have you called the Sprint Int'l dept., 1-888-226-7212 #2, to have the device unlocked for int'l & domestic use?
Other posters here who had the FEC issue and did that have reported that after the unlock it shows all clear on Ting.
