Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Anybody dealt with sprint for removing financial eligibility flag to activate on ting? I already called them 4 times and spoke with their account services, but they are saying deice is not flagged and clear. But ting is saying it's not
You could contact LiterallyUnlimited on Reddit as he is an expert in such things (as well as being a senior technical staff member at Ting and having been previously with Sprint).

what device are you trying to activate/port into Ting? did you buy a Ting sim card? maybe it would not let you port because you are porting into Ting's sprint side instead of T Mobile side? if you already have a Ting sim try logging in and click on activate and once you are on that MEID check page, under the "check compatibility" click on "I have a ting sim card. skip this step." then put in your sim # etc and it should hopefully activate your unlocked phone.

By the way, be sure you really do want to move it onto Ting Sprint side, because if you do, then it will be updated in the Sprint database as an MVNO device, and you will later on have to get that flag flipped back to SPCS before being able to use it on Sprint postpaid once again, when/if that time comes. Ting or LiterallyUnlimited can do that though on request when the time comes.

Yes I found this workaround today. I have Essential phone on Ting GSM, I moved that sim to iPhone 8 (which is failing FEC) without any hassle because it didn't check for FEC since it's a GSM sim.
I ordered another Ting GSM sim, Now I have to port sprint number using that GSM sim and essential phone. So once I get out of sprint, I can swap both devices back since both are on Ting GSM.

And it's easy to port back to sprint if you are on ting GSM otherwise it's a lengthy process involving a dummy device to port from Ting CDMA to sprint.

Thanks. can the swap be done through online chat or do I need to call 866-782-8777 ? I believe the sim Part is "SIMOLW416C" which I do not have in hand and thinking of calling the above no. to order.
Not sure of SIM part number. I used the one originally in the Note 5. Went smoothly swapping through customer care.
Maybe chat I don't remember

Just to confirm, always do IMEI Swaps through online chat and NOT through TeleSales.
TeleSales is for paid upgrades.

You can order any Sprint sim for $2.99 from Twigby.

If it is an iPhone, stop by an Apple Store and they will give you one free (but they will not tell you this if you call).

I got the sim free from apple store for my iphone 6s and now want to switch it with note 5. I'll try to get from a near sprint store if they do not have it then I'll get it from twigby. Thanks,

If needed, Best Buy often has them too behind the counter as misc. parts, not listed in their computer system. In other words you havee to ask in person. But sure, Sprint stores, most specifically Sprint Repair Centers, are a good bet.

I finally got the official rejection letter from Sprint for my dad's application. They rejected on the basis that they could not verify identity. Did anyone else experience and resolve this issue? Before getting the letter, I already reached out to Marci and she punted me off to someone in the credit department. There were no identity verification questions asked either.

Try calling 866-437-1818 and ask to speak to the Port dept directly

She most likely referred you/him to Executive Credit so ask that person what other means you can use to establish identity.

For example, can he take id to a store? I can understand he may not want to go to the trouble.

Try to get a measure of what the area of the underlying problem is.

When they say "could not verify identity" that is likely a euphemism for saying they suspect identity fraud. Try to figure out why this might be the case and explain it. I do not suspect at all it is true - most likely some kind of mixup or even fraud by someone else under his name.

You are somewhat at a disadvantage if the conversations with them were your father's rather than your own, as he may have told them (perfectly justifiably) to buzz off by now. You may just have to let it go or try it under your own SSN if you might qualify.
