Is there anyway I can verify from the Sprint Dashboard?
yeah my rep pushed it on me too and said it was easy to disable on the sprint website if I didn't want it so I said sure why not. I didn't actually want it so I used live chat with billing to have it removed, but before that it showed up when I went to: from the top nav bar "My Sprint -> Overview | Documents" (to get to an older style but more functional dashboard) then click "My account" button under where it says "Welcome back [email]" then scroll down to where it shows your phone on "About my devices" and look for the protection thing somewhere in there with Add-ons

sorry for bad/wordy explanation LMAO

their website is a dumpster fire

I've moved my lines over to MetroPCS. Anyone know if I can get back in right off? I'll be using my wife's SSN to open a different account.

Sure you can and you should get it at least started on the 28th (assuming MetroPCS will let you port out that quickly) just to avoid the remote contingency that Sprint cuts off the deal Feb. 28 (or at leat call and ask them if they have word on that yet).

Totally - one of the worst ever. Sprint is seriously technically back-ass-wards, with their myriad of sim cards and this terrible web site. If not for this free service, I wouldn't touch them with 10-ft pole.

Thanks for taking the time to detail the steps. But when I click "My account" button under the old site, it just refreshes and loads the new dashboard. Tried it 3 times and it kept doing the same. Oh well, I will just chat with them in a few days to make sure. I did make it clear to both reps that I declined the DPP, but one can never know for sure.

Was able to sign up from start to finish today and thought I'd add my details here.

1.called the offer number and had no problems at all with a great agent.

2.ported in using a free plan Freedompop LTE sim number. no delays other than Sprint had scheduled the final step for tomorrow, but calling the number on the port status page they did it in a few minutes.

2. used a Sprint LG G2 that I purchased a couple of years ago from Freedompop as a refurb. This was before Freedompop started their 6 month of use policy and they unlocked it shortly after I received it. I then used it on Ringplus, Ting, and Tello. I deactivated it from Tello on Monday by swapping in my old Sprint TP2. Then contacted LiterallyUnlimited to set the flag properly on the LG G2. Thanks to him !

Didn't need a new sim, just the same sim I've always used with this LG G2.

oh, btw, once the number ported away from Freedompop I was going to cancel the account but instead I just got a new free number for the LTE sim using the Freedompop account website. There was a link to do so on the front page.

Can I use the $50 Boost Mobile E4 on this deal?

Otherwise, say I have no compatible Sprint phone, what's the cheapest and easiest way to get one? Cheap being a necessity...something like an e4...

Did they not ask you to set one during the original call?
That's how I got mine originally. It should have 6 digits.
Otherwise call them at the 8777 number I guess.

Ah I am not familiar with that route and as to whether it asks for a pin during it.

I would wait and see what others say or call.
